    Influential blogs

    by Sunny

I hate blowing our own trumpet on here but it’s nice to do so sometimes. Pickled Politics has been named among the 50 most influential blogs in the UK by Edelman. We’re no. 28 actually, so probably in the top 20 of British political bloggers. A big thanks to all our readers! And Katy for pointing it out.

Oh my God, we influence people!!- we’re in worse trouble than I thought. Luckily I have 3 years to plan my emigration to Oz , before the 44yr cut off date!. I have the skills points, now I just need money to have a wash , trim my beard, buy a train ticket to London and to go to the Oz High Commission for my interview.

Seriously - Congratulations to Sunny and his team. It takes a good hand on the tiller and crew to steer this site. Amongst all the chatter and noise, it has been a pleasure to read and reflect on peoples’ comments over the last year.

=> I hate blowing our own trumpet

=> Sunny you could start charging

Sonia! Don’t put ideas like that in to Sunny’s head.

The next thing you know we’ll have to pay a PP members fee!

      Congrats Sunny

I love reading it,but dont feel brave enough or intellegent enough to take part. you all have such strong opinions and know how to back your arguments.
Just watch out that pp is not taken over by the likes of microsoft /google etc.
well done Sunny for attracting such bloggers.

    9. sonia — on 17th October, 2006 at 1:41 pm

:-) rakhee you’re right, we’d better not mention it again..! ‘influential members’ club and all that sort of thing..

now sabina must not let the bullies ( heh heh like myself..) get in the way of you saying what you want to say.

microsoft/google takeover - wow like …for millions of quid?! whoosh maybe Sunny won’t be able to resist…

    10. Sunny — on 18th October, 2006 at 4:34 am

heh, thanks everyone! Thanks Sabina ;)

Congratulations to Sunny and the rest of the team for doing an outstanding job with PP. May the mission keep going from strength to strength.

Here’s a scary thought. Kismet Hardy may turn into some kind cyber “urban legend”, if PP really is that widely read…..

    12. sonia — on 18th October, 2006 at 10:06 am

good one jai i think he already probably is! lol

    13. Refresh — on 18th October, 2006 at 11:37 pm

      Excellent news.

At least anyone looking can take whatever they want, since we seem to cover the full range of views. Does that make it influential?

    14. Sunny — on 19th October, 2006 at 12:01 am

Refresh - I think its more the fact that we have 400 blogs linking to us that makes us influential.
