I met the son of god once, in Cambridge. He was some wino on one of those motorised wheelchair quads things for old people. Kept shouting "I am the son of god"

I had no reason not to believe him. I had no reasoning at all, I was wasted myself. Still it was memorable.

<a href="http://images.ucomics.com/images/pdfs/sadams/godsdebris.pdf#search=%22God's%20Debris%20by%20Scott%20Adams%22">click this link</a>

sorry, dont know how to hotlink, but this is another conversation with god, written by the author of the Dilbert cartoons...definately interesting, i like the idea we are just starting out and have the capability to join the other, more fun and happening parts of the universe. for some reason, whenever i think about this possibility, i always go a bit star wars, and feel like the whole semitic religion argument thing will broil over into the universe, and were the beggining, but then i slap myself for being so stupid...definately the most interesting thing i have read today. thank you :)

The best conversation with "god" I've ever read is the lyric of the song Dear God by XTC. Even better if listened to in the context of the song.

Leon, you really blew your chance here. If, instead of presenting this as 'food for thought' you had declared it literally true - but with the twist that God had entrusted you with secret techniques to scale these evolutionary hights, to be disseminated to the worthy by way of books, tapes and intensive courses... hell, you could have been farting through silk for the rest of your life.

How do we know he wasn't really the devil? After all I have been told that the bible says the devil can assume a pleasing face so maybe he or she can appear as god, or the angel gabriel or a man on a train or a Jehovas witness.
