heh heh its funny trying to explain to people not involved in the moon-sighting saga why we can’t all celebrate eid on the same day.

    15. Vikrant — on 23rd October, 2006 at 4:02 PM

Yeah I’ve heard of those moon-sighting blues. Last year they had a mini-Riot in Mumbai between Dawoodi Bohras and Sunnis over precise time of moon-sighting in India!

    17. Anas — on 23rd October, 2006 at 4:21 PM

Yeah Eid Mubarak. Not forgetting all those Muslims living in poverty, fear, hunger and in conditions of war.

    18. Chairwoman — on 23rd October, 2006 at 4:28 PM

Anas – Let’s all hope that by this time next year their lives will have improved immeasurably. And let’s all learn from the Jesuits, to whom it is a sin to despair of hope.
