  • Christian terrorists go crazy

    by Sunny

    The BBC reports:

Nine alleged members of a radical US Christian militia group have been charged with conspiring to kill police officers and wage war against the US. The suspects were detained in a series of FBI raids across the Mid-West, while one remains at large.

A website in the name of the group shows video footage of military-style training exercises and describes Hutaree as “Christian warriors”. It is edited to a backing track of rock music.

Pah! I always knew rock music was dangerous… There was a recent article on how Obama’s victory has spurred on and brought out a whole range of white, Christian crazies who think the end of the world is coming, but I can’t find it. I’m still a bit jetlagged so I’ll write more on the subject later maybe. Note, however, that the media noise on this attack has been minimal.

Welcome back Sunny. Come on post some photos from your trip mate.

This is getting really hilarious in America.

Obama drives through Healthcare - makes College more affordable - and transforming K-12 education - and focusing on developing a green economy - increased funding for research -

      well to any normal person these would be good things;

but hang on, we are talking about racist, homophobic, intolerant, fanatic idiots. Their messiahs in Talk Radio and Glenn Beck say otherwise - so these things must all be bad. Of course, the country is going to the dogs

Interesting, this President was elected with a huge popular majority as well as an electoral college majority and still these idiots claim they are trying to claim the country back for the people.

Media on the other hand can be forgiven though because there are way too many right wing militias in the US who do these kind of stupid things often.

Note, however, that the media noise on this attack has been minimal.

That might be because there hasn’t been an attack?

Ooh, this has inspired me to pen an ode in honour of rock and god…

John Lennon said: ‘God is a concept by which we can measure our pain’
While Leonard Cohen mused: ‘Some women wait for Jesus, and some women wait for Cain’
And even though the Stones admitted ‘God gave me everything I want’
Their sympathy for the devil meant they’d best heed God’s advice to Dylan: ‘The next time you see me comin’ you better run’

And if we follow The Pixies assertion that if God is 7
      then Hanuman goes to heaven
Echoed by Costello’s cry that ‘God should have given the world to the monkeys’
Then the simians should hear of Neil Young’s warning: ‘Nothing is perfect in God’s perfect plan, look in the shadow to see’

But seeing as God and Man gets Bowie to the church on time
And Pink Floyd warned me that ‘God wants a clean fight’
Like Lou Reed thanking God that he’s as good as dead
I’ll take my cue from Morrissey and forgive Jesus, then go to bed

“Note, however, that the media noise on this attack has been minimal.”

Simply untrue - coverage was in proportion to crime.

Google cites over 3000 items, compared to over 5000 for the Moscow bombings on this search.
