  • Going away for a month

    by Sunny
    3rd March, 2010 at 4:59 pm

    Hello all!
I’m heading to South East Asia tonight, with a plan to backpack around Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Burma. No blogging or checking email for me in the meantime - Rumbold will be taking care of PP while I’m away.
I’ll be back at the end of March.

Good to see that big carbon footprint!

    3. Kulvinder — on 3rd March, 2010 at 5:44 pm

I’d laugh if Brown called the election… :D

      Have a nice time though

You do realise that every time you go off on a jaunt all hell breaks loose somewhere?

      Enjoy.

Try popping your head into some Gurdwaras whilst you’re out there!

Thailand does have a really vibrant sikh community actually. Speaking of Thailand… it does make one feel ashamed to be British, given the escapades of many of our middle aged countrymen there…

Welcome to the new regime: history, libertarianism and bashing the EU. Or not.

    12. douglas clark — on 3rd March, 2010 at 8:52 pm

Sounds excellent. It’ll all still be here when you get back!

      You cannot leave DavidT unsupervised.

      Don’t go.

Any chance of you not coming back? Interesting that there has been no discussion here of the Gilligan programme. Even you couldn’t find anything to defend in IFE.

    15. Trofim — on 4th March, 2010 at 9:03 am

That’s his lifetime carbon allowance finished up then. But he’ll soon be back to lecture us on our profligacy.

No blogging or checking email for me in the meantime

Seems like a a perfet time to send some blogging posts.
First thing I noticed when I flew into Gatwick yesterday was police with machine guns profiling ‘muslim looking’ people and calling them over as they walked through the concourse and questioning them.

And just being in South East Asia throws up so many Pickled Politics type stories every day.

don’t forget to check out Angkor Wat - its simply mindboggling.

Have fun and stay safe. Btw, got your message. Will discuss when you get back.

      all the best mate.

      Mrs A says.

I hope that Sunny Jim behaves himself and not indulge in ‘sexual colonialism’ (whatever that means).

      Peace
