Australian anti-immigrant politician becomes an immigrant herself

    by Sunny
    15th February, 2010 at 2:40 pm

    The BBC reports:

Australian former anti-immigration politician Pauline Hanson is selling up and heading to Britain, according to an interview with an Australian magazine.

She told Women’s Day that Australia was no longer a land of opportunity and she had “had enough” of living there. Ms Hanson built a career on claims that Australia was being “swamped by Asians”

You know I’d normally parody this but the amount of people who post on the Daily Mail site with something like: ‘I hate immigration so much I moved to Spain‘ that it’s almost become redundant. These people are the biggest hypocrites around. Any chance we could stop her from coming into the UK? Someone should start a petition…

Maybe she can restart her political career with the BNP?

    2. persephone — on 15th February, 2010 at 2:58 pm

“Ms Hanson was popular with some Australians in the 1990s with her anti-immigration and trade protection policies, before losing her seat in 1998.

At its peak, her One Nation party attracted a million votes.

In 2007, she ran unsuccessfully for a national Senate seat, switching her target from Asians to Islam and calling for an end to immigration by Muslims to protect “Australian culture”. “

Its interesting that the above shows parallels with BNP strategy. A strategy that ultimately proved unsuccessful.

Getting the anti-immigration fever, Sunny? :)

Perhaps a group of Picklers could ‘welcome’ her at the airport.

    5. persephone — on 15th February, 2010 at 4:10 pm

@4 she really would be going from one pickle to another

    6. Don — on 15th February, 2010 at 4:18 pm

Well, I certainly don’t want her moving in next door to me. Wherever her alleles are at.

And if I had a sister I wouldn’t want her marrying her. Although obviously I’d be supportive of the lifestyle choice in principle.

My wife’s favourite TV moment recently was one of those sodding awful foreign property programs, where one of the vacuous couples involved said she didn’t want to buy a particular property in Spain because there were too many Spanish nearby.

    8. Sunny — on 15th February, 2010 at 4:38 pm

Ravi - haha! Nope, just want to give her a taste of her own medicine. what’s good for the goose… surely?

    9. persephone — on 15th February, 2010 at 4:41 pm

I say let her in. Introduce her to Nick Griffin as his strategic adviser.

And then ask her to argue why the UK born children of immigrants, those asians whose parents were born in the UK should not remain here.

And when England becomes an uncomfortable place for racists to have a voice aka a whole country lacking opportunity *) both should emigrate elsewhere.

      * Common victim mentality displayed by racists

Ms Hanson built a career on claims that Australia was being “swamped by Asians”

What kind of ‘Asians’ is this one unhappy about? If it is the brown type, she is in for serious disappointment over here….hee hee

Anyway guys, I’ve taken on your comments about using the word ‘whitey’ and propose this alternative which hopefully should cause less offence. I’ll try and define the word a bit before the suggestion, so we are all clear what I mean. Here goes.

This refers to individuals and groups who have variations of a particular mindset that consists of some or all of the following characteristics:

A belief that white skin entitles automatic privilege over the darker skinned.

A deep seated belief of the inferiority of the darker skinned over the white skinned based on interpretations of history, biology (such as DNA), intelligence measurements (such as IQ tests), sociological factors, economic factors, technological differences or purported experience and ‘the strange aroma of their food’.

The person or people or group that manifests these beliefs in various ways, such as:

Avoidance behaviour - do not want to be around the darker skinned (especially males) and find ways to avoid it.

Sociopathic behaviour - can become hostile and aggressive (even violent) in presence of ‘darkies’.

Scheming behaviour - will discreetly seek out other like minded people in the environment and surreptitiously plan to preserve superiority by monopolising opportunities and making it difficult for darkies (and possibly darkie-lovers) to function and progress. This type of behaviour can also lead to the formation of organisations that are explicitly or surreptitiously pushing the white superiority agenda. The BNP is an example of the former and lumpen sections of the British press the latter (see Propaganda behaviour for more details).

Propaganda behaviour - the beliefs compel individuals and groups to transmit propaganda to justify their stance and hopefully convert others. In all its variations the common thread is usually a constant campaign to portray nonwhites as savage, dirty, uncivilised, untrustworthy and lesser beings and, importantly, a threat. Again the focus is usually directed at men.

Slave master behaviour - some allow token darkies into their immediate environment but only in certain identifiable circumstances such as 1) the darkie is a completely subservient type 2) the darkie is willing to transmit negative ideas about his own community similar or identical to ones own 3) is an attractive she-darkie with whom exoticised sexual fantasies can be fulfilled. These were probably instilled through a childhood of watching Disney type cartoons such as Pocahontas. In a unbelievable show of white greatness and compassion, a she-darkie is taken into the host community saving her from a life of tree swinging. This also serves as a strike at the he-darkie.

Colonisation behaviour - have been known to frequently find themselves on foreign shores and then ‘forced’ against there own wills to attack the original inhabitants on some dubious pretext. All resources are then taken and natives usually forced to work for cheap or free (slavery). Once in, they are often reluctant to leave and prone to pretending the original inhabitants do not exist (in some cases this may be true as they have been massacred).

Jealous behaviour - on seeing the progression of darkies in their midst they are prone to become upset, wail and resort to propaganda behaviour as outlined above.

The description is not exhaustive but should give one an idea of the sphere of the entity/entities being covered.

The new terms I will now be using in place of the unacceptable ‘whitey’ will be ‘whiteism’ and its proponents will be ‘whiteists’. If your white and don’t do the type of stuff described above, please don’t cry at the use of these important terms or else you will be unwittingy doing the whiteists work for them!

Good day to you sir and madam.

I propose an official annual ‘stomp a whiteist mofo at work’ day to help remind us of this dire threat. Thank you.

PS - No spell check please, we’re British.

errr technical point but btw ALL Australians , except the aborigines, are immigrants or the descendants of immigrants

    12. Roger — on 15th February, 2010 at 8:17 pm

Actually, all Australians, including the aborigines, are immigrants or the descendants of immigrants.

    13. A Councillor Writes — on 15th February, 2010 at 10:23 pm

The Oxley Moron (as she was known in the land of the banana benders[0]) was complaining more about East Asians than South Asian originally, but by the last couple of elections had switched her attention to Muslims (which in much of Australia mainly means Lebanese).

I will break my rules, I normally do not try and influence housing officers unduly, but if she comes to my fair city I shall do my best to rehouse her on the Alum Rock Road.

    14. me — on 16th February, 2010 at 1:20 am

Can’t the govt ban her like they did that Wilders fella? She obviously doesn’t like my Aussie cousins kids - neither the euro-aboriginal blend or the eurasian!

Meanwhile, like everyone else (except the bnp members) I’ll be hoping she doesn’t land anywhere near me.

But I don’t mind a “Who” member moving a couple of doors from my dad. That’s ok.

    15. Eurasian Sensation — on 16th February, 2010 at 3:42 am

The term “Asians” here in Australia usually refers to the East Asian variety. But don’t worry, I’m sure she has just as much love for the South Asian variety that she’ll discover in the UK.

While it would be a delicious irony if you guys didn’t let her in the country, please accept her. I don’t want her coming back to Oz, we’ve had enough.

    16. Cauldron — on 16th February, 2010 at 11:40 am

For many years, the UK was able to rid itself of working class Untermensch via the ten pound pom scheme.

Seems like the Aussies are now taking their revenge.

This is a wonderful story. Can we swap her with Nick Griffin?
