This, from the first One Day International between England and Pakistan, abandoned due to rain. Just as well really because England were looking to get thrashed.

More pictures from here.

Shoaib and Asif were kicking ass yesterday. Pieterson was clueless against Asif :)

pietersen is being called asif’s bunny but i’m a bit hesitant as pietersen can change a match around. i’m just glad freddies out and shoaibs back with 202 wickets.

England are a one-day shambles… I would fully expect Pakistan to kick England’s backsides. I would have said 4-1 to pakistan, but now mabye 3-1. pietersen’s problem is he’s as likely to get out with a wild swing as he is change a match around. he’s great but really frustrating and gets out irresponsibly.

Amir, I’m a bit puzzled by the 3nil chant. Care to clarify?

This Pakistani team really looks like the “real deal”, on paper at least.

It will be interesting to see how the Pakistani Unit fares for the the remainder of the series and also in the ICC Champions trophy later this year.

I do feel that Mushtaq Ahmed can offer the team something extra than either Danish Kaneria or the rest of the spinning alrounders. Mushy picks up English Wickets for fun and in the pro40 match two evenings ago really showed how valuable he is in the one day game.

    A very tasty duel awaits

i think amir is referring to the 3-0 test defeat, the last of which was a forfeit and the second was severely hampered (by who else?) darell hair’s inability to notice that three batsmen were clearly out in the first innings.

still as long as pak thump england in the odi’s all will be well
