‘And today I met…’

Sadiq Khan MP has long been part of the bloggerati, [1] apparently. His archives go far back as Nov 2004. But it reads more like his events diary, ported online, rather than views on world events. No commenting allowed either sadly. Honestly, these MPs hate getting down and dirty don’t they.

Wow. Tomorrow you might even get to meet Preston and Chantelle.

Indeed but then most MP and Councillor blogs read like event’s diaries.

And its not as if Sadiq Khan has been neglecting getting ‘down and dirty’ lately. Is he not a signatory to that rather pointless/backfiring letter which inspired over 111 commnets on this forum
(which detracts from more senisble work he has done like supporting Liberty)

Two relatively good examples of politicians blogs:

I bet he doesn’t even write it himself.

Al-Hack,

What made you decide today is the day to have a go at him?

Did he say or do something that made you want to single him out?

Go on spill the beans, why is he at the top of your grump list?

Sadiq’s not exactly the most original character out there. His talk @ the Fabian was a collection of old PP ramblings!

Well I hope to meet him to talk about the environment in Wandsworth.

Lots of people don’t let others comment on their blogs - look at Boing Boing.

Lynne Featherstone’s got quite a blog -

it was good fun meeting her - she used to have her meetings in this pub in Hornsey!

she’s got a bit on there talking about having comments on the blog - apparently this has been the focus of some debate. clearly i guess they think there might be so much ‘abuse’ they won’t want to go near their blogs.. or they might end up having ‘virtual’ surgeries..

why there’s a thought :-)

Ha ha! Good Ol’ Sadiq!

Is he still cocky? its just friendly banter!

How funny about his blog, I guess everyone wants to get with the programme!

Dammit did you tell him to clean the streets of Tooting? Leading by example?

I wonder if my event is in there?

*goes to explore*
