Dr. Khurana would like to point out that she is not interested in emmigration, and couldn't anyway given the pending case. All she wants is for her daughters to be safe. Have some compassion, for once.

It is important to get a straight answer, because her in-laws sound a vile bunch who would probably try to get a court injunction to prevent the girls leaving the country.

Since Hindu culture is one in which marriages are contracted on the dowry system and not the bride-price system, as in Arabia, it seems unfortunate that she married into this unpleasant clan in the first place but what's done is done and she has to put a significant distance between herself and her daughters on the one hand and her husband and her in-laws on the other. The sooner the better.
