Google-bombing President Musharraf

Raven from Reality Cafe has come up with a great idea to Google-bomb President Musharraf as an insensitive jerk.

If enough people link using the words above, typing that term into Google will lead to his website. More on Google bombing here.

This has nothing to do with his nationality or religion, and everything to do with his previous comments on women in Pakistan (one, two).

Support the cause! Get the insensitive jerk to think next time before saying women get raped for a visa. The Washington Post had more on this yesterday.

And before anyone points it out – yes the ISI might take out a contract on me. But it’s a good cause.

    *starts praying*

    lol..

This does actually work. know if you type “failure” into google, a biography of GW Bush is number 1.

Strangly though I have today just found out that typing “Hizbul Tahir” into google brings up my site as number 1.

I may as well just hand myself into the police station now!

Probably because you’re the only one who spells Hizb ut-Tahrir in that way!

Is Google bombing not frowned apon my Google as a method that exploits their search engine?

I mean it’s funny to type in “failure” or “miserable failure” into Google and get the President Bush page, but I think this has caused problems for Google.

Don’t think the Republicans quite understand algos and internet PR. They need Larry Page to visit congress and fill them in.

On second thought…I don’t think the Republicans understand anything ;-) – but that is a whole other subject. (or rant)
