I guess ‘going on automatic’ was a pretty normal reaction for a person to have when finding themselves in the middle of such a storm. I think I would have run away backpacking to Asia or Australia under such circumstances.

I had a look at your website and it does seem a much better place to be at as a human being than being part of the old National Front. To answer your second question it was all surreal. I kind of went on automatic. The more they attacked me the more I was determined they would not win. I have always hated bullying and react against anyone trying to bully me or who I see bullying someone else.

As to Poppies I see Brown launching an appeal today in the paper. How is it right for him (warmongering useless swine that he is) to associate himself with this and not for others. He is responsible for many of the injuries for sending soldiers out to fight with poor kit in the first place. Hypocrite!

On the poppy issue, that’s fair enough. But I’ve sometimes wondered what the politics of the average drinker at a British Legion club might be when it came to things like immigration.
