Tim Ireland threatened by thugs
Blogger and friend of Pickled Politics Tim Ireland has been threatened with violence by a group that has been posting his home address all over the internet. As Richard Bartholomew points out, one of the members of the group e-mailed Tim, saying:
“I’m coming round to your house in the week. Fight or no fight?”
The anti-Muslim group calls itself the ‘Cheerleaders’, and seems to have connections with an associate of the disgraced ‘terror expert’ Glen Jenvey, the man who fabricated the ‘Jewish hit list’ story (background here). By posting his home address they not only expose Tim to their attacks but also to those who search for Tim Ireland and find the false accusations of paedophilia planted by Glen Jenvey when he was trying to discredit Tim.

This is shit, so it is. If Tim Ireland needs to disappear then he and his family could come and stay with me.
As Jenvey both invented and denounced the hitlist story himself and has become- or claims to have become- a muslim since then, why is an anti-islamic group defending his name?

These attacks do not benefit Jenvey, but his former associate, Dominic Wightman. Wightman has a major beef with me, because I caught him publishing a fake interview designed to smear all of his former Vigil associates (including Jenvey) and a few bystanders besides:

It is my position that Wightman is a man who manipulates others into doing his dirty work for him, and I don’t think this incident with the Cheerleaders is any different to his past efforts.

I don’t think they are defending Mr Jenvey. Reading all this malarkey it is obviously unclear even to Tim what they have against him. I can’t really work out (still) who they are or what is going on. One of them contacted me wanting to interview me for a book about British Islamic fundamentalism a while back. I did a search on them and found Tim’s earlier posts, which ended in an argument which is still as clear as mud to me.
They also mentioned Angus Walker who I met in Belmarsh at a court case so I asked him. He said he only met a couple of them on a couple of occasions but they seemed OK, though I think he met some females, not anyone with boxing potential.
This all seems a bit ridiculous, except for posting peoples home addresses online which is where ridiculous turns into dangerous of course.

The thing between Matyi and Tim Ireland started coz Tim Ireland posted a threating email to DJ Assassin. But the thing is, DJ Assassin and Matyi are Romany Gypsies, and if you start on them they have to settle it with a boxing match, so Tim Ireland was invited to setlle it like that. He chickened out.

‘Shooter’ mouthed off that the Cheerleaders were not afraid to engage in these attacks under their real name. Two publicly-listed members of the group who used real names and had reliable contact details were asked if they wished to publicly associate themselves with these attacks. Neither of them answered. Instead, they hid behind the anonymous members of the group who went on to use this as a further excuse to attack me (and challenge me to fist fight, FFS).
Nobody in the group has been able to articulate a single reason why they think I am deserving of this treatment (beyond this ‘threat’ claim and their belated reliance on the ’stalker’ claims of Dale and Mercer). The closest they have come is a vague reference to ’causes’ I have supported. When asked to list those causes, they have declined.
I challenge them again to list those causes.
