It’s not “just happening in the last ten years” – religion has been used as an excuse to cause trouble from Northern Ireland to the Partition to the Taping Rebellion. Face up to that, and that people have to take responsibility for their own lives (and culture – as the British have largely done. Who now celebrates the Empire? Yet my local mosque trumpets the Conquest with pride) and maybe all this shit will stop.
