The Libdems are re-starting their attempts to woo ethnic minorities to the party and to “support talented party members from black and minority ethnic backgrounds”. An event is being held next week for this. About time. I’ll report more when I get back.

Is PP going to cover below story today:

Black Welshmen condemn BNP leader Nick Griffin’s controversial TV comment. Jun 25 2009

ANTI-RACISM campaigners last night condemned British National Party leader Nick Griffin for claiming there was “no such thing as a black Welshman”.

The newly elected far-right MEP sparked anger after saying: “There is no such thing as a black Welshman. You can have a black Briton; you can’t have a black Welshman. Welsh is about people who live in Wales since the end of the last ice age.”

Well then the last welshmen died a long time ago. Didn’t know homo sapiens went back that far, but then again the likes of Griffin probably have yet to evolve from Cro Magnon

It seems a black Welshman has been elected Chair of the Wesh TUC. This is of course because he was elected by an overwhelmingly white membership and not because of all black short lists which is what the Lib Dems are talking about.

BNP: taking Britain all the way to the Ice age.

    How fitting.

What’s the event? is it specifically aimed at minority ethnic groups?
