Well done, I agree we need a simple top 5 list, that can be continuously referenced.

I have to say I watched the show live and when Jonathan posed the question, your list immediately sprang to mind.

I thought that normalising them (letting them show themselves up) in front of a non-shrill (like UAF) mature audience left them looking stupid.

Absolutely, Damon. I don't think MCB and UAF do any favours to the cause.

But of the question of DNA and the question Jonathan Bartley asked about non-european ancestry … I don’t think they are that fussed.
It’s not so much a question (for them, I think) of racial purity, as to being passably white Brittish.

This question is pretty good on two fronts: it makes it hard for the BNP to define indigenous - and remember all their racial policies depend on that definition, and it is the sort of thing makes people think twice about the "indigenous" non-indigenous divide. If anyone hasn't seen "100% English" documentary, please do so: it's on YouTube.

I thought it a pity that I didn’t see very much cross cultural/racial fraternisation last night.

Multiculturism is a double-edged sword, Damon. Society is tolerant with different communities which is good, but that doesn't mean there is social cohesion between these communities.

I watched the programme too, yesterday morning.
Of course the BNP guys are as mad as hell. Particularly that fool wearing the 'dog collar' of a christian priest or minister.
Unite Against Fascism were invited onto the show, but declined because they don't 'share a platform with fascists'.
I thought that normalising them (letting them show themselves up) in front of a non-shrill (like UAF) mature audience left them looking stupid.
And when the public finally understand that they would even argue about the Britishness of Olympic champion Kelly Holmes, then I think they're sunk.

But of the question of DNA and the question Jonathan Bartley asked about non-european ancestry ... I don't think they are that fussed.
It's not so much a question (for them, I think) of racial purity, as to being passably white Brittish.
So some of them have ancestors from other European countries, and some of them might have blood mixing (a bit) with some of the wider British Empire.
Even Richard Barnbrook was happy to form a relationship with the ballerina Simone Clarke of the English National Ballet - and she had a mixed race child already.

I was in Southall yesterday evening. On King Street next to the main Sikh Gurdwara
http://www.sarabsanjhigurbani.com/imgs/photo-gallery/Gurdwara%20Singh%20Sabha%20Southall%20London.jpg
Inside the Gurdwara (which I visited yesterday for the first time) it's all calm and good will and spiritual, but outside at the pub on the corner (where the England v India 20/20 cricket match was concluding), it all feels slightly different.
It's not threatening (to me as a white guy), but it's almost totally a different culture from the one I know in south London. It's Punjabi, and male and as someone from ouside that particular London community, I feel like I haven't got a clue as to what's going on.
(And it often seems like there is 'something' going on.
there are various groups of people who always seem to be in some animated/hightened kind of conversation).
Just up the road there's a parade of shops, that early evening seem to become a 'Somalian village'.
What I mean is that in this typical row of shops, which were closed for the evening or staying open late, out on the pavement in front of them, (so close to where it was all Sikhs and Punjabis on King street) ... here it was all Somali men. Hanging out. Leaning against the railings. Sitting on walls. Just chatting.

Then heading back in the car toward central London, as soon as you leave Southall, you're suddenly in Hanwell and then Ealing, and again you're seeing young white people out having a good time. In groups and going to pubs.
I thought it a pity that I didn't see very much cross cultural/racial fraternisation last night.

I do believe we need a "top 5" questions, that can be repeated over and over whenever the BNP is on the media. These questions need to be very simple (soundbites - so that they can be thrown quickly), require no context (the average voter is not as knowledgeable as Jai), do not make predictions of the future (they can be easily dismissed as lunacy of the Left), and again requires knowledge that people do not have), nor do not look at their past (easily dismissed with X was a communist in the past), and makes the BNP very uncomfortable.

The goal is not to preach to the choir, but allow people who are in the fence or who have voted BNP to look beyond the crafted image that the BNP has built.

Definition of indigenous and genetic tests. Apartheid and segregation in Britain (different schools, public transportation, housing for whites and coloured). Miscegenation and British people who are mixed. Rights of non-indigenous British in regards to indigenous Brits. The economic contribution of non-indigenous and what happens if they left the country the next day (we need numbers!). Why is he parading with pictures of Churchill, when he has allied himself with neo-nazis like David Duke and Don Black? Why is he parading with pictures of Jesus, when Middle-Eastern men cannot join the BNP because they are not indigenous? (or quite simply: is Jesus indigenous?)

We want this to happen (from Clairwil). It is much more effective than throwing eggs or calling them fascists.

Excellent work Jai and huge congratulations to all the picklers that promoted this development in the debate.

I think the 'Questions for the BNP' bullet-points list is one of the clearest, non-nonsense, practical-based posts I have read in quite some time.
