The 2784th terrorist plot you’ve not heard about

by Sunny on 9th June, 2009 at 3:09 am

Police smash white supremacist terror plot to poison ethnic minorities with ricin, says the Daily Mail. You’d think something like this may be big news… but I just stumbled across this now.

This is the week the BNP got elected and we still have white supremacists trying these things in Britain. And most of the MSM completely overlooked this. The BBC gave it about 6 paragraphs.

If I was a white supremeicist I’d bomb or poison white people — and make it look like Muslims did it. I’d carry out the attack a week before the general election.

Any plot involving ricin seems to get covered badly by the media. I did some quite lengthy research on weapons of mass destruction, and media/political discourse on “WMD” some years back and ricin regularly got called a WMD. This is simply silly. That there are violent right-winger around shouldn’t be a shock, but the ricin is a side show - or even a good sign that they couldn’t get hold of other normal weapons. It is just very hard to use if effectively. If they had guns and ammo that would be a more serious threat. This book: http://tinyurl.com/lrc68o is probably still the best book on non-state groups attempting to use unconventional weapons and has case studies on ricin plots.

Yes, somebody mailed me a link to this over the weekend - it was being carried by Little Green Footballs.

It looks as if there is a certain level of terrorist activity on the far Right. I’ve been following this one and trying to find out which group is involved - previous ones have circled around a small grouping called the British People’s Alliance. So far, I’m not getting more context than what is in the Daily Mail.

There was also a guy arrested in Bolton with his son, under the terrorism legislation. He has been in court. But there is little by way of details on that one.

Finding out who these guys are associated with before publishing is quite important. For example, the guy who was arrested in Bolton shares the same name as a guy from the area who was convicted in Cyprus back in the 1980s, having joined the PLO and shot some Jews on a cruise ship. But it probably isn’t the same guy.

      Yeah - wot Toby said.

Chemical and biological weapons are notoriously difficult for would-be terrorists to use to inflict mass fatalities. That Tokyo subway thing was pretty exceptional. Thank God.

“That Tokyo subway thing was pretty exceptional. Thank God.”

It also took them years, cost them tens of millions of dollars, required the recruitment and indoctrination of post-grad and professorial level bio-science researchers, needed a number of earlier mainly ineffective attacks as trial runs, and relied on Japanese law taking an exceedingly careful position in relation to what could be seen as oppression of religious groups along with ineffectual policing. And the result was about the same numbers killed that Hamas achieved regularly with bus bombings that requires one person willing to kill themselves and a few hundred bucks.

      ^^^ Exactly.

I don’t understand why these Muslims just can’t understand that WASP’s cannot be terrorists.

      Toby,

Are you sure you should be passing on links of that nature?

We’ve already had academics being detained and possibly deported for showing an interest.

Your comment leads to the obvious question, why haven’t you been detained, deported and/or exiled?

Why do terrorists insist on elaborate ‘24′ style plots when all they have to do is drive a van onto a level crossing when a train is coming? You don’t need co-conspirators or specialist material and even if the police stop you before you carry out the attack they can’t prove anything.

You’d think they WANTED to be caught.

Its sort of like wondering why evil overlords hell bent on the destruction of earth leave medkits, big guns and ammunition conveniently scattered about the place and what’s the point in investing in big fuck off indestructible doors that open only by keycard if you’re just going to leave said keycards strewn all over like confetti ?

They also always seem to send their minions in easy to dispatch waves that become progressively tougher, why not just send them all at once before anyone has a chance to find the keycards, big guns or ammunition ?

Giant floating brains, I’ve shit ‘em.
