      ‘(approved ones)’

You mean people who agree with your political views.

      How progressive of you.

London, Pah and it’s my birthday on Sunday as well.

      Would you like an invite?

Personally I’m not bothered, but I would like to see who’s on the approved readers list…if it exists.

I sent a message earlier from the contacts page. I’d like to attend. Would be interesting to hear all the contributors talk.

Oh for heaven’s sake. They even asked me and there is no list of approved readers. The above is just a get out clause to prevent any buffooons atttending. Good Heavens you can’t reasonably expect people to extend open invitations to all the residents of the comments box to their social gatherings -they’d be swamped with viagra salesmen in no time. Now less paranoia please!

Now let’s talk about me. I have an open thread to which everyone who’s not going to the pickle meet is invited. We shall get far drunker and act the goat whilst the grown ups are out so feel free to join in.

You mean people who agree with your political views.

The biggest shock you’d have is we are all very nice human beings. Imagine that…

so this is actually a piss up? i thought it was like a discussion.

    9. Amrit — on 20th April, 2009 at 12:11 am

      @ Rambling Man:

No, the meet-ups aren’t really ever a ‘piss-up.’ I don’t drink, and I’ve never felt out of place at any of them…

For anyone who may be even remotely interested:
