‘Political correctness gone mad’
Legal proceedings against a 10-year-old boy over alleged racist name calling have been labelled political correctness gone mad, by a judge.

“Political correctness gone mad” is becoming such a cliche phrase.
As is the word cliche. Ahem.
Bring back the slap, you tossers. Then there won’t be any need for courts to discipline 10-year-old boys when they bully people.
And 10-year-olds these days are rarely as innocent as they seem.
But wouldn’t those who clout or slap a 10-year-old to discipline them at school be more likely to find themselves in court today as well?

Yea, if you happen to come across a dozen ten year olds with hoodies in a nice lil’ backalley, they dont seem that innocent anymore.

Weee… murders go uninvestigated but a 10 year old trying to act badass gets a trip to slammer.
Darn hypocrisy that abounds in our country.
I’m trying to guess how sympathetic Judge Finestein would have been had he been faced with someone who had given the 10 year old a ‘good clouting’. Perhaps it would be prudent to keep an eye on his cases…

Oh and i completely agree with Squared at the absurdity of the term ‘political correctness, its basically come to be used in the absence of any argument. I can’t think of anything coherent to say therefore in a general rant at society ill blame ‘political correctness’.

Verbal abuse is sometimes just the beginning… A slap on the wrist now could mean he thinks twice before acting badass in a more physical way.

Heh, very true. I don’t even think it means anything anymore. Being PC used to be a fad, and now being un-PC is the new fad.
And all arguments are tailored to fit the new fad.
