For me capital punishment is fine especially when there is not a shadow of a doubt like with this guy.

Im posting in anticipation of the press reactions tomorrow morning.

And blood lust is understandable if not condonable – imagine how the family felt when they found out their little girl had been strangled, raped and stabbed to death.

By that logic honour killings, or at the very least calling for them are understandable if not condonable.

I have no problem with mob mentality – as long as the person is proven guilty.

Accepting a mob mentality leads to accepting a mob justice – and lynching people you don’t like the look of.

Viktor Dembovskis won’t be let free into society. Thats enough for me.

They can kill a dog in a one to one fight thatâ€™s why they tie them up when the “bait” them. I like their big white stripes itâ€™s kind of like â€œI kick ass” badge.

I don’t get you Kulvinder. I haven’t read lots about this case, but I don’t recall anyone mentioning ‘hoards of immigrants’. It was a terrible crime, but i find the mob like mentality that displays little more than a blood lust after these things a little unsettling.

Im also sadly resigned to the way this will be linked to ‘hoards of immigrants flooding this country’. Tragic though this was lets put it in some perspective.

what I’d like to know is why this guy isn’t deported to serve his time in Latvia. Like with the imprisonment of the cocklers gangmaster who’s been convicted and sentenced, but will be deported back to china after he’s served his sentence here. strange.
