That’s why I bet they’ll be charged with s 4 of the POA

A person is guilty of an offence if with intent to cause a person Harassment, Alarm or Distress he uses threatening abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour OR he displays any writing, sign or other visible representation which is threatening, abusive or insulting, thereby causing that or another person harassment, alarm or distress. The offence may be committed in a public place or private place but there is no offence if the act is done by a person inside a dwelling and seen only by a person also inside that dwelling.

Max. Sentence Magistrates Court :6 Months

Perhaps they’ll get 4 months or even the full 6 on the basis that it was “racially aggrievated”. Ooooh!

This is a piece of law that is usually used to arrest drunks shouting in the street at 3am. How facile to use it against the Muhajies.

Oh, and the whole ‘racially aggravated’ business is comically misused. It is largely used to increase the sentence handed down to people who get into pub fights and call each other everything under the sun, and throw in a racial epithet.

Also, from recollection, the prosecution policy for charging racial aggravation is premised upon the ‘perception of the victim’ that an offence is racially aggravated.

What are they going to arrest them for? Making threats to kill? Naah – they were waving placards. Threats to kill need to be specific, not merely rhetorical.
S. 4 of the Public Order Act? Certainly, but its a pissy little offence – tryable in the magistrates only, I think.

I wonder what they will come up with.

I just went to “The Strangers” website. What a strange bunch.

There is a hadith of Prophet Muhammed (sallalahu alaihi wa salam), narated by Abu Huraira where he says that Islam came as something strange and would return back to being something strange so give glad tiddings to (Al Ghurabaa) the strangers. It was recorded in Sahih Muslim. That is where they get their name from.
