    Telegraph scaremongers about British Muslims

by Sunny on 7th January, 2009 at 9:59 pm

This story in the Daily Telegraph is probably one the most desperate pieces of journalism by a broadsheet. Ooohh ooh! Muslims are urging others to write letters to prominent Jews!

It must mean they want to blow them up!!!! Run for your lives muthaf**kers!!!

Jesus Christ, will these fucking Pro-Israelis ever stop?

Another reason why the conservatives shouldn’t be elected.

    2. Sid — on 8th January, 2009 at 12:05 am

I’m deeply disappointed that Amy Winehouse is not on the list of prominent Jews.

    3. Raj Saxena — on 8th January, 2009 at 8:10 am

In other words, it’s wrong to treat Muslims as monolithic but it’s fine to treat Jews that way.

    4. sofia — on 8th January, 2009 at 9:21 am

I agree to an extent with Raj…but i suppose it depends on whether the person is within the realms of politics and has commented on the matter in the past…contacting ppl like mark ronson simply because he is of jewish heritage for example is dumb…

    5. platinum786 — on 8th January, 2009 at 9:47 am

      Typical tabloid drivel really.

I mean it’s the most sensible suggestion I’ve come across in a lot of forums. By contacting media personalities known to be jewish, if you can get them to vocally support the cause of the Palestinian people against this butchering then it adds even more Pressure to Israel.

I think we should treat Israel like Apartheid South Africa.

    6. Baraka — on 8th January, 2009 at 10:54 am

platinum 786 - so i suppose you will likewise support a similar campaign to write to UK muslim personalities to complain about the butchery in Dafur, Somalia, Irag, Afganistan etc etc.

You know I’m tired of this weird accusation that if you somehow don’t vocally and activelly oppose EVERY single injustice the world nothing you do has value or principle.

It comes from people who, as far as I can see, have no real experience of political activism, the realities of campaign work and no consideration of the fact that we’re not all super humans with 100 hours a day to spare.

It’s easy to sit a computer writing this nonsense but it does little than make a mockery of the sheer hard work and commitment people who are getting off their backsides undertake.

    8. fug — on 8th January, 2009 at 11:23 am

I think Muslims would tend to avoid the name ‘abu islam’, unless their parents inflicted it on them. Its very arrogant.

Its funny the tricks that our post-holocaust zionised cousins get up to, especially in the key of immaturity.

ah the Israel Problem, bringing out the best in human beings.

It seems to have done a lot for you!

Baraka - Why write to Muslims when the problem is closer to home.

Somalia - The Islamic Courts bought peace and commerce to Somalia until the Ethiopians invaded. They don’t have money for food but can afford to do America’s bidding.

Iraq - Correct me If i’m wrong but didn’t Britain and America invade that country in 2003 on false pretences?

Afghanistan - Again who invaded Afghanistan? OBL and the 911 hijackers were arabs, why not talk to your buddies in Saudi Arabia and Eygpt? Why Afghanistan? If you wanted OBL Sudan offered him on a place in 1996.

Dafur - Are Muslim countries not allowed to stop rebellions? Simply because the region has some Christians in it you guys want to make a big deal out of it. Yeah bad things have happened, but the Chinese have found no evidence of massacre.

    11. Baraka — on 8th January, 2009 at 12:20 pm

platinum 786 - Ok, what about Pakistan then? Should I write to Amir Khan about the blatant Pakistani ISI involvemnet in the Mumbai atrocities? It makes about as much sense as having a go at Alan Sugar over what Israel gets up to.

    12. Refresh — on 8th January, 2009 at 12:32 pm

      What is wrong with everybody?

Baraka, please go write to Amir Khan. It will be a positive thing to do.

Lets all communicate with each other, and try to persuade each other. Might mean we get to reduce the violence and thuggery.

As a campaigning tool, its a positive thing to write to Alan Sugar or anyone else who you feel might have some influence. That is a democratic thing to do.

‘You know I’m tired of this weird accusation that if you somehow don’t vocally and activelly oppose EVERY single injustice the world nothing you do has value or principle.’

Its an old rhetorical trick designed to deflect.

    15. platinum786 — on 8th January, 2009 at 12:42 pm

      You would be correct.

      Pip pip and Tally Ho.

    16. platinum786 — on 8th January, 2009 at 12:43 pm

#14 Spot on. Some groups actively train people to do that to spread their message and opinion across the blogosphere.

Dare to name then and Rumbold will delete your posts.

Its an old rhetorical trick designed to deflect.

      Correct.

Although sometimes it’s also a rhetorical trick designed to point out the other party’s hypocrisy and double-standards when the tables are turned.

Yes, that’s why you get deleted Platinum786. Nothing to do with your hysterical and anti-semitic rantings about the Joos then.

    19. Jai — on 8th January, 2009 at 2:20 pm

OBL and the 911 hijackers were arabs, why not talk to your buddies in Saudi Arabia and Eygpt?

In which case, why not target your letter campaign solely towards Israeli Jews rather than Jewish celebrities en masse ?

Platinum786, you really do have the bravado of a much smarter man.

      Katy,

I believe the phrase is “LOL”

Indeed. I’m sure I just saw a pig fly past my window wearing a rocket jet-pack on its back and Biggles-style flying goggles.

      LOL at this thread.
