Good post, Sunny. For me it is the other way around.

We haven’t got enough female MPs yet – but we’re making progress. On EM MPs I would like us to move faster. We lost our only EM MP last election – and only one EM MEP. OTOH we have many many EM councillors so there is hope.

Looks like Simon Hughes is ‘upping the ante’ by declaring his bisexual relationships. It is nice of him to insist that his homosexual relationships were neither illegal nor involved payment. (Yes, what about his hetero ones asks all concerned Tories!!??)

He also mentions, “Nobody has a perfect life”, which in the eyes of the electorate must mean never fielding let alone batting for the other team.

It is sad that he has had to be defensive about such things, indeed why questions about his preferred choice of horizontal tango partner are ever raised.

Of course people will now say that he has been caught lying/being evasive about something of vital import & is now deemed untrustworthy.

A few things the liberal democrats need to do to be successful. Relax gun laws, when guns are outlawed only the outlaws have guns. Stop immigrating of all those jahil Muslims into the country. Lower taxes, and completely dismantle the welfare state. THere is nothing more contemptous of man than the welfare state, except ofcourse in cases where there is a necessity like disability, spousal abandonment, and parental abandonment of minors.
