“As long as terrorist suspects… are being killed or live in fear of being killed [London] is quite happy to see the policy continue.” It is certainly possible that British intelligence services were in some way complicit in Rauf’s death.

obviously, it is so much better for us all if terrorists are not living in fear of being killed. perhaps we might offer them interest-free credit on their sofas as well?

i refer you to the comment someone very sensible (i think it was soru) said on the other thread - if you can't lock up these guys when you catch them, they're going to end up being killed. it's a perverse incentive and whatever brings world peace, i doubt it'll be a massive increase in human-rights lawyers.

hmmm. I wasn't sure but I knew there was a reason I sort of ducked the intro, especially as I was with Musa. Sill I like to think I would talk to anyone and if talk to people who beleieve gays should be killed without cross words I should be able to talk to Tories. I wrote a note to his secetary and got a two line answer. I will observe..

dave - no I don't. I cussed him quite hard last year when he was throwing around phrases like 'black bastard' and claiming black people within the army were playing the race card.

This would be even more of a surprise if it happened.

I thought that was a bit surprising though I have only read a little of what he wrote regarding Hamza etc before. I almost got introduced to Patrick Mercer at that Quilliam thing. This article has me wondering what he would make of what I have been up to. Do you know him?
