  • Why scientists shouldn’t rap…

Today is the big day people!!! If the scientists in Switzerland at CERN get anything right, we won’t get sucked by a massive black hole. It’s a funny video though… that’s something I suppose.

Oh man I saw this bloody thing on the news last night and thought of the Green Party election rap with Darren Johnson a few years back. What possess these people?!?

      I disagree.
Sure, the syle is more Roland Rat’s Rat Rapping than Kanye West, Jay-Z, or Kano. BUT, it’s informative. Even a child would get the gist of it.
Their PR has been genius - GENIUS I sez.
Who’da thought a particle physics experiment would make it to the top of news globally (OK, so I ain’t got the global stats, but I can see European press enraptured).
Great line about potentially creating a black hole that might destroy the universe, great line.
      Rapping scientists I salute you.

Yes, nothing like telling your experiment will swallow the solar system to get people’s attention.

      Oh dear:
“Indian girl kills self over “Big Bang” fear-family”

      That’s a Reuters headline

I thought it was rather good. More rapping scientists please.

It is amazing how “rapping” makes every concept so easy to understand, isn’t it? I mean, people talk about hoes this, hoes that… but you only understand what is all about when Snoop Dogg tells it.

would it be racist to refer to dangerous black hoes?

Man, I’m upset. I thought they were smashing the protons today. That doesn’t happen til around late October…I’m too impatient for that so I’ll be making my own hadron collider using lego, instant camera, large drain pipes and several cannisters of gas. I don’t know how to create a proton stream so I’ll be re-creating the experiment using a couple of cats. I expect the collision of the cats will results in the creation of thousands of never seen before sub-kittens. Results will be published in Cat Fanciers Monthly.

No, rappers have been talking about it for decades, as well as getting sucked by…them.
