Video: Jade Goody enters Indian Big Brother

by Sunny on 18th August, 2008 at 8:21 pm

Its too bad Shilpa Shetty just faithfully translated what Jade Goody said.
Update: Amrit chips in with her thought here.

Tut tut Sunny, it’s not ‘Big Brother’ it’s ‘Big Boss’!

We don’t want the world to think Indians steal ideas from ‘the West’ now, do we?

      Oh wait…

No Amrit, the Indian version of Big Brother is different because it has a tuxedo wearing man servant hovering about…….hmmmmm?

      Sunny
I think jade Goodey is taking self publicity a bit too far, or is it that she has no market for her antics in this country anymore. And now India is her target?
I heard on the radio that an inmate of that programme suffers with mental illness. He isa the brother of Amir Khan?
If this is true, then \I think it is apalling. Keeping a mentaly ill person cooped up in that pressurised atmosphere cant be justified.
And only so the public could laugh at him.

Shetty and Goody? Why are we so obsessed with this type of trash?

    5. Leon — on 18th August, 2008 at 11:09 pm

      Don’t ask me, it’s bullshit… *shrugs*

      Its just…. amusing? *cough*

Amrit - they sold the format to India, Indians didn’t rip it off (for once). Hehe.

You know what would be funny? If Indian contestants started taunting Jade with names like “Jade kidney pie”, or if Jade went to get some sun, someone would comment “all English want to be like Black people”. Of course, ex-pats would be incredibly angry and start writing letters, in Britain people would talk about blatant Indian racism and burn some effigies, and Kismet would be extremely upset. :)

She’s left now anyway; she’s been diagnosed with cervical cancer.

    9. marvin — on 19th August, 2008 at 10:58 am

Poor girl. Hope she gets better.

    10. Sofi — on 19th August, 2008 at 11:17 am

      kudos to her PR team.

anyway its really sad to hear about the cancer news this morning but I cant believe Max Clifford was informed of her private details (as he has reportedly said in interviews). Is Max Clifford her immediate family member now? Its pretty personal and having it dragged out seem like theyre manipulating even the most tragic of stories to their advantage. Quite sad.
