Happy New Year from Pickled Politics

A vid I took last night. It’s 1½ minutes long, but make sure you watch the last 30 seconds or so - the fireworks go completely nuts!

Happy New Year guys!

#4 Comment By Bikhair On 1st January, 2006 @ 6:23 pm

I hope you know it is wrong to celebrate New Years for many reasons. The most important one is that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) once saw people celebrating non-Islamic holidays, and he disapproved of the act and explained to them that Allah has given Muslims two better ones (i.e., `Eidul-Fitr and `Eidul-Adha). Therefore, we should obey the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and develop a Muslim identity in ourselves and our children. Secondly many consume intoxicating substances(haram) during these celebrations and then commit fornification(haram) or engage in homosexual couplings(haram) in their mind befogged state

Allah is wise and all-knowing

Are you for real Bikhair? Because you’re scaring me.

Just ignore her. Sooner or later she’ll realise no one here is in the slight bit interested in what she has to say.

#8 Comment By Bikhair On 1st January, 2006 @ 6:49 pm

While you guys were engaged in your sinful man-made activities last night I composed some poems. What do you think?

Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

When truth was lost and hearts frozen
from You, Allah came a Prophet, chosen.
Blessed Prophet Muhammad(SAW), obedient to You
taught us the things we ought to do.

He taught us for certain that You are One
and that You have neither a daughter nor son.
He taught us to be good to our mother and father
and that Paradise lies under the feet of our mother.

I love you my Prophet and sing your praise
and follow your Sunna, Prophetic Ways.
One day I will come to visit your tomb
Insh’Allah, that day will be very soon

This one is about Hell, read it very carefully.

THE TORMENTS OF HELL

If only you knew the torments of hell
It is the worst of places where anyone could dwell
It is in existence even as we speak
And for its inhabitants the outlook is bleak
On the day of rising, hell will be in view
A terrible sight, if only you knew
It will be brought forward by 70,000 reigns
And 70,000 angels will be on each of those chains

After burning for a thousand years , it’s flames turned white
A thousand more years, now it’s as black as the night
You think the flames are bearable, you’re totally wrong
The flames are of hell are sixty nine times as strong
In a flash it will disintegrate all of your bones
The hellfire will be fuelled by man and stones
The thickness of your skin will greatly increase
Causing your threshold for pain to greatly decrease

The people in hell are there to stay
They will melt to nothing, 70,000 times in a day
70 years it will take, for a stone that is thrown
to hit the bottom of hell and it won’t be alone
the food of hell resembles a devil’s head
and to drink, boiling water and blood bright red
which cuts up the bowels, everything will fall out
the inhabitants of hell will scream and shout
some will be taken out by Almighty Allah’s command
but the polytheists will stay eternally damned

Take up islam, the only way to succeed
and if you don’t, you’re unfortunate indeed
brothers and sisters, help determine your fate
once you see hellfire, it’ll be far too late

Women can work and lead a happily married life
but shouldn’t neglect her role as mother and wife
a woman for her child’s upbringing, deserves her credit
islam also gives a woman the right to inherit

Very poor half-rhyme ‘credit/inherit’ there, plus the metre seems to be all over the place. Also ‘life/wife’ is what we’d call a ‘trite’ rhyme. You need to try and find some more original pairings in order to make your verse more vibrant.

Oop - thought I was back on the poetry crit board for a moment there…

So hell is like this huh??? Has anyone really seen it??? I think this is just an illusion one is made to imagine and believe. Don’t you think every human living is enduring hell. . . Honestly think! All the suffering around us, the Bushfires in Australia, the Tsunami and Earthquake in Asia, Diseases in Africa, The Huricanes in USA.

Take up islam, the only way to succeed
and if you don’t, you’re unfortunate indeed
brothers and sisters, help determine your fate

With due respect to Islam, got nothing against the religion or any other religion for that matter. I thought there is only one GOD, some call him Allah, Some Waheguru, Some Bhagwan, some call him the Holy Father. Our methods may be different but we all pray to him (GOD)!!!

Oh and A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL

#26 Comment By Jai Singh On 2nd January, 2006 @ 12:55 pm

Happy New Year to Rohin and everyone else.

I’ve suspected for a little while that “Bikhair” may actually be someone masquerading as a Muslim in a reverse-psychology attempt to discredit the faith and its followers via “her” abusive behaviour and various rantings. This was particularly pertinent when “she” did little to actually refute Mount Lebanon’s accusations about some of the more controversial aspects of Mohammad’s behaviour and instead “she” just made excuses in an attempt to rationalise/justify the actions concerned.

However, if “Bikhair” really is the “real deal” and is a bored and somewhat naive Muslim housewife based somewhere in the US, this is all I have to say:

- As Kiran has mentioned, and as I also briefly commented a few weeks ago, there is no such physical place as Hell. God is not some kind of supernatural sadist who thinks that torturing people after death in an attempt to make them see “the error of the ways” is an appropriate response to their supposed misdemenours. Furthermore, such behaviour is a very heavy-handed (theoretical) way of addressing with the symptoms rather than the root causes of the negative behaviour, and therefore does not make any sense from either a moral or a theological perspective.

- The irony, and indeed tragedy, of the situation is that Bikhair is unable to comprehend the fact that in reality, her sadism and arrogance will be the factors that will prevent her from ever seeing Paradise, regardless of her supposed devotion to the fundamental tenets of her faith and its founder.

New years resolutions.
I find them pointless but i still make some every year just so i cant keep them.
Nor do i care when i dont keep them.

Anyway this year its to be not gay anymore, as last year was to be more gay.

Im keeping it simple people, and i might try out muslim cross dressing as well.
I really should of done that last year, but it doesn’t matter, theres always time.

#28 Comment By Col. Mustafa On 2nd January, 2006 @ 4:06 pm

After reading all the crap from Bikhair, im gonna have to crown her as Fodder from now on.

#29 Comment By Rohin On 2nd January, 2006 @ 4:39 pm

Col. Mustafa, I applaud your New Year’s Resolution. The Muslim-cross-dressing, not the less gay thing. We could all stand to be more gay. Personally, I make sure I do something gay and fancy-free at least once a day.

Oh GAY, as in like THAT.

Well what I said still stands anyway.

So what attire can we expect to see you in? A burqa? A nice salwar? Or how about a boob tube and hotpants?

I just managed to gross myself out.

#31 Comment By Rohin On 2nd January, 2006 @ 4:50 pm

#33 Comment By NorahJones On 2nd January, 2006 @ 5:07 pm

Bugger, did I say freak?

#34 Comment By Rohin On 2nd January, 2006 @ 5:09 pm

She called me darlin’. I’ve gone all red. I’m so embawwassed.

Wow, been years since I wrote in baby talk. I hate being grown up.

#35 Comment By Col. Mustafa On 2nd January, 2006 @ 5:09 pm

Well i was thinking of the headscarf to be compulsory attire for the coming year.
You know that style that a few muslim women have, headscarf, nice little top and tight jeans that can also show off my perky little ass.
Thats the one im going for, when it comes to shoes though its gonna have to be sandals as heels just fuck with my head.

hehehe, ive got a m8 that tries to lick everyone when hes drunk.
Hes like the most conservative doctor when sober, but after a few his only actions include saying how much he loves everyone and grabbing them whilst forcefully trying to lick your face.
I dunno whether hes going for lips or not cos im mostly trying to wriggle out of it, he just gets my ear instead.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

#36 Comment By NorahJones On 2nd January, 2006 @ 5:19 pm

Let’s throw being grown-up outta the window!

New year’s resolution…I’m going to be more like a
5 year old. Instead of pussy footing around scary people
I’m gonna demand and kick up a fuss if I don’t get my own way.

What say you?

#37 Comment By Rohin On 2nd January, 2006 @ 5:29 pm

“hehehe, ive got a m8 that tries to lick everyone when hes drunk.
Hes like the most conservative doctor when sober”

That’s bizarre - cos that describes half of my friends! Actually I lose count of the number of times I’ve been licked by a drunkard. Sadly only one of those times has been a female licker.

*shudder*

“tight jeans that can also show off my perky little ass.”

*shudder*

Norah I can’t believe you’re pretending throwing being grownup out the window is your idea. It’s MY idea! I said it first! I’m going to tell on you! You stole my idea! You smell! Waaaa!

#38 Comment By NorahJones On 2nd January, 2006 @ 5:41 pm

Fine! (SULK)

But I bet I’m better at being childish than you…

I win!

Ooh, whilst I’m here, has Shabbs said anything to you about the 12th?

#39 Comment By Rohin On 2nd January, 2006 @ 5:51 pm

The 12th?

(this means no)

#40 Comment By NorahJones On 2nd January, 2006 @ 5:58 pm

Ok. Predictable.

His birthday’s on the 8th but we’re going to be doing something on the 12th.

He said he would like for you to come but being him, that probably means he’d ask you on the day.

How’s this for notice?

#41 Comment By Rohin On 2nd January, 2006 @ 6:13 pm

Ah I see. Cool. So he told you he’d like me to come but he didn’t tell me? Excellent. Good ol’ Shabbs. Last time I saw him was…ooh ages ago.

Cheers for the heads up!

#42 Comment By NorahJones On 2nd January, 2006 @ 6:21 pm

Hehehe! Well, I remember the last time I was down…you got the text as we were on our way out I believe…

As for details, I’m sure he’ll get round to telling you about those (butt.swift.kick).

See you then if you’re able.

#43 Comment By Bikhair On 2nd January, 2006 @ 7:35 pm

Jai Singh,

“This was particularly pertinent when “she” did little to actually refute Mount Lebanon’s accusations about some of the more controversial aspects of Mohammad’s behaviour and instead “she” just made excuses in an attempt to rationalise/justify the actions concerned.”

WHat did Mount Lebanon say again.

Jai Singh dont be stupid, cant you see that this is clone.

“You laugh now, but I will be laughing last and laughing the loudest, lol! You in Europe have only limited time, the French riots were only the begining Inshallah. We are on the march, join us or be considered the enemy.”

Would I or have I ever said anything like this? I believe riots are a fitna as I have mentioned here and on Indigo Jo Blogs. I appreciate consistency and consider it a virtue. I would never say Europe has a limited time because that is knowledge only Allah has.

“We are on the march, join us or be considered the enemy.”

Do me a favor Jai Singh, before this topic and the topic after this one, which is when I believe my clone went into activation, find anything that I have said that even remotely sounds like this hizbi clap trap.

Try and be a bit more savy next time.

#45 Comment By NorahJones On 2nd January, 2006 @ 8:15 pm

Thing is though, Bikhair, we’ve seen you rant so often, it’s very difficult to distinguish which rant is yours and which is not.

It’s all coming from the same vein.

#46 Comment By Rohin On 2nd January, 2006 @ 8:58 pm

I’ve deleted a whole bundle. But Norah’s right, it was hard to tell - you ARE in the habit of sermonising and talking nonsense, so you can’t blame us for not noticing the difference.

#47 Comment By Bikhair On 2nd January, 2006 @ 9:03 pm

Norah Jones,

Actually it is. I dont tell people they are going to die, are going to hell etc. Thats Allah’s knowledge. Youre a disgusting apostate. You never read the hadith about the man who was always engaged in worship and piety and would tell another man who was never engaged in worship and was a sinner that he would go to hell? The hadith ends with the man who was always engaged in righteous works going to hell and the sinner going to paradise. Why, because you dont tell people they are going to hell because that isnt your place, and you are assuming that Allah works according to your proclaimations.

Anyway I wish I could give you the hadith in its entirety but the point is the same. Who is to say that I will not go to hell, who is to say that you will not return to the deen and be among those who will be rewarded with paradise. Allah’s mercy proceeds his wrath he punishes those and forgives those according to his will. We should all count on that.

Anyway suckers be good this year!!!

#48 Comment By NorahJones On 2nd January, 2006 @ 9:16 pm

Hey! I remember being attacked for disagreeing with you.
Whatever.

“Youre a disgusting apostate”… Ok darling.

#49 Comment By Bikhair On 2nd January, 2006 @ 9:21 pm

Norah,

Disgusting was pretty harsh but did you even read and reflect about everything else that I said? Sometimes you can be so self-centered.

#50 Comment By NorahJones On 2nd January, 2006 @ 9:26 pm

Bikhair, I fear you’re JUDGING me.

My grave is mine and yours, very much your own.

Bu that’s not satisfying enough is it?

#51 Comment By NorahJones On 2nd January, 2006 @ 9:27 pm

Oh and that story? I’ve heard it many a time with many takes.

#52 Comment By Bikhair On 2nd January, 2006 @ 9:51 pm

Norah,

My husband tells me I couldnt relate anything with any accuracy whatsoever. Alhumdililah for the isnad and the muhadith.

I didnt say I woudlnt judge people. There is a fine line between deciding someone is evil, untrustworthy, honest, or attractive, and saying that they will die and go to hell. You have to judge, we arent animals, and it is apart of our defense mechanism and desire to live to be discerning.

My only opinion of you Norah is that I dont think you really care enough about your life because you seem to live it so precariously. This, I dont care I’m going to hell anyway attitude is one that I reject because you dont know what your akhirah will be.

I would be able to stomach you Norah if you chose the sinful life instead of the apostate life because even the sinner can be forgive and has some fear, but the one who rejects Allah and associates partners with him is quite intolerable. Get it together sista.

#53 Comment By NorahJones On 2nd January, 2006 @ 10:03 pm

What I’m reading right now:

The book of major sins - Imam Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab

The soul’s journey after death - Ibn Al-Qayyim with Layla Mabrouk

The speactacle of death - K M Islam

Sigh.

Why must it all be about fire and brimstone? Why do
we have to do things the way they did thousands of years ago?

I believe in one God, Bikhair, just don’t know what to make of the mess they call religion.

Bikhair, I’m kidding. You can judge me all you like.

Peace.
