    Why terrorists make bad politicians…

    by Sunny
    12th August, 2008 at 11:33 am

…. because they never had a sense of proportion in the first place.

Besides the terrible killings inflicted by the fanatics on those who refuse to pledge allegiance to them, Al-Qa’eda has lost credibility for enforcing a series of rules imposing their way of thought on the most mundane aspects of everyday life.

They include a ban on women buying suggestively-shaped vegetables, according to one tribal leader in the western province of Anbar.

Sheikh Hameed al-Hayyes, a Sunni elder, told Reuters: “They even killed female goats because their private parts were not covered and their tails were pointed upward, which they said was haram.

I’m sure there are those in Sinn Féin who might disagree with your title here..!

    2. Sofia — on 12th August, 2008 at 12:29 pm

      Is this a piss take?

    3. Sid — on 12th August, 2008 at 12:47 pm

      The she-goat didn’t think so.

    4. chairwoman — on 12th August, 2008 at 1:25 pm

Heaven preserve us all from religious fanatics of any persuasion!

    5. Kismet Hardy — on 12th August, 2008 at 1:58 pm

I totally agree with the terrorists. I have seen with my own eyes a turnip shaped like a penis and it disgusted me that any woman might look at a thing so large, so perfectly proportioned, so beguiling and enchanting and delicious and think to compare it with what grows between a mortal man’s pants.

    6. Tu S. Tin — on 12th August, 2008 at 2:50 pm

I’m sorry, I swear I don’t mean to be constantly critical of this blog. But it’s the posts like this that make me unable to understand the other things that are always being discussed here?
How did it take so long for people to realise this which is being stated in the article?
These are the people we have always been fighting!
After reading the other post and the argument over American foreign policy getting the finger pointed blame even for 9/11.
      Someone commented american reaction islam=bad….
No! I dont think that has EVER been it, so thinking so is also part of the problem.

    7. Kismet Hardy — on 12th August, 2008 at 3:38 pm

Hear hear, down with these problem making thinkers. Who do they think they are?

    8. BenSix — on 12th August, 2008 at 3:44 pm

Word has it that they’ve banned raisins as well. The unfortunate nibbles bore too close a resemblance to the brains of such people.

      Ben

    9. Ala — on 12th August, 2008 at 3:52 pm

Kismet, I’m presuming it was a circumcised turnip?

    10. Ravi Naik — on 12th August, 2008 at 3:54 pm

They should have covered the female goats with niqabs instead of killing them to avoid temptation. I am sure PP bloggers would have no objections. :)

    11. Sid — on 12th August, 2008 at 3:59 pm

      aubergines have better action.

    12. Sunny — on 12th August, 2008 at 4:11 pm

I am sure PP bloggers would have no objections.

You would say that, you spawn of George Bush’s son, you. Saying that, his daughters are quite pretty. I feel dirty :(

    13. Kismet Hardy — on 12th August, 2008 at 4:17 pm

Ben, of course they want to ban raisins. The transliteration of the original Quran recently discovered (the one with the dots leaving wide holes for misinterpretations in latter day volumes) tells martyrs can expect 72 raisins in heaven. They’re hardly going to kill themselves for something they can get by picking off bits from a bowl of tesco crunchy oat cereal

    14. Ravi Naik — on 12th August, 2008 at 4:20 pm

You would say that, you spawn of George Bush’s son, you. Saying that, his daughters are quite pretty.

I hear there are liberals who think Coulter and Malkin are hot, as well. :) Uhm…

    15. Amrit — on 12th August, 2008 at 4:26 pm

‘Where were you when this country needed you?!’

‘Trimming turnips and flipping veiled goats over’.

    16. Sunny — on 12th August, 2008 at 4:29 pm

Malkin is hot, def not Coulter. And you know who else is hot? McCain’s daughter. Damn these neo-cons.

    17. BenSix — on 12th August, 2008 at 4:34 pm

      As for that Robert Kagan…

    18. Hermes123 — on 12th August, 2008 at 4:52 pm

How did this thread start with female nudity among sheep in Afghanistan…and go to McCain’s daughters!!

    19. Rumbold — on 12th August, 2008 at 5:09 pm

      Ravi:

“They should have covered the female goats with niqabs instead of killing them to avoid temptation. I am sure PP bloggers would have no objections.”.

Heh. Well if they wanted to wear them, who are you to stop them? Goataphobe.

      Sunny:

What do you think about Mel?

    20. Amrit — on 12th August, 2008 at 8:16 pm

      @Sunny:

      ‘Malkin is hot’

Boy, put on your glasses! I’ll give you McCain’s daughter (she’s OK), but MM? *shakes head*

As for Ann Coulter, I’m going to let the great Charlie Brooker take over:

‘Ann Coulter, who wandered on screen looking so haunted and drawn I briefly mistook her for a ghost and kicked my television from its stand in a blind panic. Spewing all that negative hate speech must’ve hollowed out her spirit, poor thing; her eyes are now a portal to a world of infinite nihilistic oblivion - gaze into them too long and you can feel the air growing cold around you.’

    21. Ravi Naik — on 12th August, 2008 at 9:47 pm

Heh (#20) :) . I also don’t think Malkin is hot - in fact, she is plain ugly. Ditto for Coulter. I agree with Sunny about McCain’s daughter, though.

    22. Muhamad — on 12th August, 2008 at 10:26 pm

Sid @ 11 “aubergines have better action.”
      Talking from experience?

Someone told me once that Coulter was into ‘coloured’ chaps. I’m okay with that. I just wish that she’d diggitydig an Africo-American brother.
And if it’s Michelle Malkin you are talking about, I hope she’s with a White chap. Progressive neocons are much hotter than retrogressive neocons.

    23. Amrit — on 13th August, 2008 at 2:39 am

LOL @ Sid and Rumbold. I personally think that a jilbab (the one that even covers the eyes, unless I’m woefully mixed up here?) would be more suitable for goats, and not just the wimmins either! Have you seen goats’ eyes? They have rectangular pupils. That’s Satan, right there. I think they have it in for me.

      @ Ravi:

A moment of agreement on THIS blog? Don’t move, I have a tear in my eye. :-P

      @ Muhamad:

I didn’t know there was such a thing as progressive neocons! Michelle Malkin is, by the sounds of it, with a white chap, but I don’t think she cares much about it. She seems to share that convenient hypocrisy that Ann Coulter has, like when Coulter said that feminism was a mistake (wtf, woman, did the bile harden and lodge itself in your brain or summat?), except that Malkin likes to go on about how racial profiling is A Good Thing. I suppose her neocon views and white husband mean it’s never going to be her, right?

(Sorry to sound a little crazy, I just really hate female neocons, and I should also be asleep right now).

“Someone told me once that Coulter was into ‘coloured’ chaps.”

She was, when she was dating the lovely and illustrious Dinesh D’Souza.

    25. Desi Italiana — on 13th August, 2008 at 8:08 am

      ‘Malkin is hot’

I know. And George Bush Hunior is beautiful, a feast for the eyes.

    26. Desi Italiana — on 13th August, 2008 at 8:10 am

“They include a ban on women buying suggestively-shaped vegetables, according to one tribal leader in the western province of Anbar.”

They should also ban men from buying apple pies.

    27. Desi Italiana — on 13th August, 2008 at 8:25 am

Speaking of dashingly good looking neo-cons, Rummy is as hot as they come. I have spent many nights lying wide-awake wondering where this fine man has disappeared to, how he spends his time these days, what he likes to have for breakfast, does he prefer scotch on the rocks or just straight, is he combing his sparse hairs to the left or right these days? …you know, those mundane things that are endearing to you when you are smitten by someone.

    28. Sofia — on 13th August, 2008 at 10:09 am

Amrit, a jilbab is a long coat, a niqab covers most of the face

    29. Ravi Naik — on 13th August, 2008 at 10:46 am

Speaking of dashingly good looking neo-cons, Rummy is as hot as they come. I have spent many nights lying wide-awake wondering where this fine man…

Yeah, like you fooled anyone with that tough exterior of yours - women are all the same, they all go for “tough” neo-cons types. :)

    30. Ravi Naik — on 13th August, 2008 at 10:56 am

Michelle Malkin is, by the sounds of it, with a white chap, but I don’t think she cares much about it.

Her husband (whose surname she uses) is of Jewish ancestry. Her real name is Michelle Maglalang. Besides being the usual hypocrite, she actually wrote a whole book defending the shameless act of putting Japanese-American families in concentration camps during WW2 - the whole point of this book, however, was to put that in context with the current “War in Terror”. She is disgusting - give me dreamy Rummy any day. :)

    31. Amrit — on 13th August, 2008 at 12:05 pm

      Ravi:

Yup, I know… that’s what I mentioned earlier, about her support of racial profiling. I really hate using the expression ‘race traitor’ and the like, and you can’t explain MM using it, but she is definitely a hypocrite.

Sofia: thanks for informing me. Once it was too late to correct myself, I realised that I’d got it wrong. I really have to stop posting late at night, I’m turning into a running joke.

The thought that people find Ann Coulter attractive never ceases to give me nightmares.

‘Yeah, like you fooled anyone with that tough exterior of yours - women are all the same, they all go for “tough” neo-cons types. :)

No way - I personally go in for Davey Cameron myself. That slight double chin, those cartoon-character-ish eyes, the way he seems to be going red all the time… it just knocks me off my feet.

    32. Don — on 13th August, 2008 at 12:09 pm

Coulter’s most attractive feature is her pert adam’s apple.

    33. Muhamad — on 13th August, 2008 at 12:35 pm

      Amrit @ 23
Oh, yes, you’ll be surprised to know that there are certain arrivistes who’ll do anything to be in your face.

Well, it all rather depends on what kinda feminism one is thinking of. I quite like Dale Spender’s take on Man Made Language, e.g., she points out what we intuit when one says “he’s a pro” and “she’s a pro”. But, I’ll be honest, I don’t really know what to think of those like Elana Dykewomon.

      Desi @ 24
She would, wouldn’t she! Not only is he ‘illustrious’, his name ‘Dinesh’ means ‘day master’. Oh, how one feels envious.

      Ravi @ 30
In a skew’d way, a husband of Jewish ancestry sounds like the only redeeming thing about her.

The most beautiful thing I’ve read on here…”Heaven preserve us all from religious fanatics of any persuasion!”

    34. Ravi Naik — on 13th August, 2008 at 1:00 pm

Coulter’s most attractive feature is her pert adam’s apple.

Reading this to the end, it is difficult to distinguish how she is any different from the BNP or neo-nazi groups.

    35. Rumbold — on 13th August, 2008 at 1:03 pm

      Amrit:

Did you have a bad experience with a goat?

    36. Sid — on 13th August, 2008 at 1:10 pm

      I’m having one another thread.

    37. Rumbold — on 13th August, 2008 at 1:21 pm

      A goat or a boar?

    38. Sid — on 13th August, 2008 at 2:40 pm

      hahaha

    39. Amrit — on 13th August, 2008 at 2:44 pm

      Muhamad:

Actually, I made a schoolgirl error above: Coulter implied that feminism was a mistake and stated that women’s right to vote should be taken away:

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ann_Coulter#Disenfranchisement_of_women

      Rumbold:

Yes. I went to see some caves in France and there were some animals being kept on the same property: I LOOKED this one goat in the eye and it immediately went insane and lodged itself in the fence trying to get at me. Another one, as soon as I came near its pen, leapt up so that its forelegs were on the fence. It was trying to start on me!

Now you tell me who’s the Antichrist: me or the goats?

    40. Desi Italiana — on 13th August, 2008 at 6:19 pm

Ann and Dinesh have one thing in common: writing crappy books. Dinesh wrote this whole the US is at fault for 9/11 because of its liberal, debauched ways. As the writer in Slate said, embrace your inner mullah!

      http://www.slate.com/id/2156927/

    41. Desi Italiana — on 13th August, 2008 at 6:20 pm

Forget the other neo-cons: Dick Cheney is HOT.

    42. Sid — on 13th August, 2008 at 6:21 pm

I prefer to prick-tease my inner Mullah.

    43. Desi Italiana — on 13th August, 2008 at 6:26 pm

With shamelessly nude female goats, I bet.
