And does that mean Muslims will be even more in its sights now?

Yep, that is exactly what will happen.

Here is my Daily Mail weather forecast for the next, ooh, five years at least.

Mainly dull and overcast with torrential downpours of Muslim demonisation and stigmatising. Occasional sunny outbreaks of Black male and African immigrant caricature. A small chance of an outbreak of moral hysteria regarding Sikhs or Hindus (they're just like Muslims, dontcha know) every now and then, but with strong possibilities of gypsy / traveller vilification bursts of rain in summer periods, although as usual, the outlook is unpredictable, and we can expect to see gusts of anti-Polish hatemongering at least once a fortnight.

There is a game somewhere of inventing Daily Mail headlines. After following things recently, I think it's only a matter of time before we see:

Shami Chakrabati Eats White People

Liberty director revealed to be Indian cannibal intent on killing English children for meat.

In a few years, I think the Daily Mail may have something of an existential crisis as we need more immigrants to prop up house prices.

I can't remember the name of the organisation, LFAT, but if you watch the '100% British' programme (it's on YouTube), there's someone there who was setting up an organisation for the ethnically English. I would suggest, though, that an excellent example of Britishness can be found at the Great British Beer Festival at Earl's Court this weekend. I don't know whether there'll be Morris dancing.

More seriously, there are issues that Poles face as Poles. I don't think there are issues that the English face as English.

Picking up on a theme at the beginning of the letter in the Mail, I can thoroughly recommend the Spitfire restaurant on Fulham Palace Road in Hammersmith. It is a Polish restaurant set up by Poles who flew Spitfires in WW2 and stayed in the UK, in many cases because they weren't allowed back to Poland.

xD.

Sunny,

I wonder if LFAT (No2) will actually "go ahead and set one up" (#7) or whether he's simply a "moaning minnie" who will repeat the same rant at a different blog.

Oh please. Can you imagine the uproar if we had a Federation of English people in Great Britain?

There's UKIP. there's the English Democrats etc etc. I have no problem with such groups, as long they're not hating on other ethnic groups. Go ahead and set one up LFAT.

I don't think there would be an uproar at a 'Federation of English people'; more a curiosity about what purpose it would serve. I don't feel the need for one, but if other English people do they're more than welcome to create such a place.

Immigrants creating an institution to better allow their needs, fears or wants to be heard isn't novel. I honestly don't see whats so offensive about a 'Federation of Poles'; a similar set for British people in Spain would make perfect sense.

Tory

The continuous demonisation of immigrant groups seems to be a preoccupation of lumpen sections of WASPS in the media. Most other people seem content to live their lives without participating in such nonsense. Given this situation, it is unlikely that the English would ever have the same need to form a federation to try and tame organised hate filled activity, mainly because they are usually the ones behind such crap in Britain. Something that, I presume, has its roots in colonial times, when making Johnny Foreigner look like morons was essential in preserving a the feeling of inherent superiority that was part of Englishness.

This is good news. What do you think the chances of the Daily Hate going easy on immigrants in general are?
