Oh! So they’re pissing people off on a global scale!

Down with whitey imperialism and up with communism!

Darn Anglo-Saxons, let them into your country and they think they own the place.

      Stop right there Sunny.

I was brought up to be “a little communist kid” – I know others who were too, both in this country and overseas, in countries on both sides of the Cold War.

’s not good, ’s not clever. Communism killed far more people than any other ideology last century (or ever), continues to oppress millions, and, apart from being entirely deluded about human nature (materialism and atheism) is entirely an extremely bad and nasty thing.

Reagan was right – it really is Evil, with a capital E

Grrr, c’mon Venchika, you have more sense than this.

Firstly, having young idealistic kids who believe in communism is rather different to being run by paranoid communist dictators. I might have kids who believe in God. But I don’t want to see the country run by a politician who takes advice from God on how to run things.

Secondly, Communism killed far more people reminds of that Chris Rock sketch – Guns don’t kill people… people kill people!

By the same measure, atheist vegetarians and/or religious people have killed millions of people in history and thus we should let any such people near a seat of power either.

Not to say I’m a fervent believe in communism (I’m not) but your line of thinking has too many holes in it.

“Firstly, having young idealistic kids who believe in communism”

You probably meant socialism: the benign form of communism. Communism – is an extreme form of socialism that can only be implemented through a totalitarian regime. Which is not surprising that virtually all the communist regimes that existed in the previous century were totalitarian, and brought misery and death to a great number of people.

      Brilliant!

Communist was a witty scare-word, like that tooth-pick holder thing. Double plus brilliant.

All I can (fail to) say is: :-D .
