Alot of this boils down to sour grapes for feminists. For many older feminists especially, this was there one shot in getting a female into the white house (many now saw it is unlikely they will see a women president in their liftime). And now they angry that a youthful upstart is taking away what they feel Clinton and the feminist movement tried so hard and long to get…

I’m a die-hard (male) pro-feminist. And I’ve been for Obama since long before MOST of my friends/family had even heard of him. I know more people who were converts from Hilary to Obama, than people who were pro-Obama all-along.

This is really sad. Hillary thought she had it all wrapped up, in terms of the nomination at least, and what she can’t apparently see is that she blew it. Obama is coming through this campaign toughened. I expect the shit will hit the fan after he gets the Democratic nomination. It is then that the wing nuts will be out in force with fake allegations. Where Obama wins is that he has millions of folk willing to take the wing nuts on, head to head. That is the advantage that a genuinely grass roots movement has in the digital age.

The Clinton’s did appoint a significant amount of black people into their cabinet. But their racist reasoning was that ‘because we have put you people in senior positions, you must be loyal to us forever’. They expected them to sit quietly in their places.

That’s why they are incensed that after ‘all we have done for them they have the guts to vote against us’.

I suppose Biden,Dodd,Edwards,Gravel,Kucinich(sp) would take issue with that statement.

Clinton had the best political machine at her behest and she blew it by her own actions. Obama and his political team quietly did the work on the ground while she was basking in her inevitability.

I wouldn’t even touch that irresponsible rape analogy.
