Hagee helped found Christians United for Israel on February 7, 2006 as a “Christian AIPAC” lobbying Congress to support Israel. Just like many evangelical Christians he believes the Jews are God’s “chosen people” and Israel is the land promised to them from God.

It is right that McCain distance himself from Hagee. The influence of the Christian Right in American politics has grown in recent years and having a significant influence on foreign policy.

John McCain is never questioned about his patriotism due to his long military service to his country which has included being awarded the Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Distinguished Flying Cross in addition to being a tortured POW for nearly 5 and a half years. The problem and it is growing is a fundamentalism in Christianity which will use democracy and voting to achieve its aims and the media is blindly letting them do this and Jewish Organizations such as AIPAC are allowing this to go by unchecked.

What I admire about you, and this site come to that, is that you expose bullshit in a way that old media seems to have forgotten. If we go back far enough, it was the reason they (broadsheets) existed, was it not? Perhaps it is that you have the time, unlike ‘journalists’, to actually take a case apart. Which you do.
