Yeah I blogged about this.

Though I really appreciate David Modell’s work, especially Young Nazi and Proud I thought this was a bit of a tedious dispatches style “shocker” which wasn’t a shock at all. The guy has about 10 followers is very eccentric and things Allah is Satan. What a surprise.

This is linked to an anti abortion woman by encouraging her to speak about her views on Islam. Christians are going to think Islam is wrong, Muslims are going to think Christianity is wrong. Who has the woman got access to? A couple of Conservatives who are anti-abortion. Is it me? This isn’t a shock really. I enjoyed the doco anyway. I like films about eccentrics.

As someone already mentioned above I especially enjoyed the guy with Jesus written above his bed to stop himself wanking. Access to power? He didn’t have access to his own dick eh.

Don’t you think PP is becoming far too high-brow, hence the steep decline in number of comments that follow each post. You only have to look at the ones that attracted the most debate (Why Asian girls prefer black men, etc) to see what works. Unless, of course, you have a cunning plan to turn PP into a tiny, insignificant blog that no-one’s ever heard of.

On the YEC approach, yes it was bad that this nonsense is creeping into schools, but for me it was more disturbing that the (highly educated and urbane)barrister claimed the earth was 4,000 years old. A tiny bit of questioning revealed that she clearly believed no such thing in the rational part of her mind but had sealed that off to allow the irrational part to declare ‘All the evidence always points to a biblical conclusion’.

Start with the conclusion, then look for evidence to support it.

Shariq, aye, if there has to be a Tory Govt then better one where the ‘normals’ in the Party outnumber the ‘nutters’.

If Cameron ends up with 100+ seats then the proportion of ‘insanes’ goes up drammatically also.

A Wavey Davey dependant on insanes and nutters doesn’t bear thinking about.

i haven’t seen the documentary yet. perhaps its another bit of evidence for my theory that better the tories form the next government with a small majority and cameron in charge than have a landslide in the election after that with a nadine dorries style mp as the leader.

I watched. They were appalling.

I loved the school ’science test’ questions. My faves were:
Q: How many days did it take God to make the world?
A: 6 Days

Q: How old is the Earth?
A: (the child sitting the test put 6000 years if memory serves)

In. A. Science. Exam.

In a school in receipt of public funds that is OFSTED inspected. So OFSTED haved signed off on this mumbo jumbo……

Why is Government education policy intent on Balkanising the country?

I say abolish all faith schools and do it now before we turn in Northern Island on a far grander scale with Christianist nutter vs Islamist nutter!

Leon, their bigotry is pretty much a given, what was interesting is the direction they are going. Smooth PR, briefing MP’s, getting the footsoldiers to make their presence felt in phone-in’s and letters to the press, finance from the US.

Stephen Green is too transparent to last long, but the subtler operators could soon be making a real mark on political decision making.

Scary in parts but funny also. Especially the bit when they interviewed that chap who had stuck a ‘JESUS’ sign above his bed so to remind him of the lord in case he starts to think about jerking off. ooooh it was fascinating. And all this time I thought fundamentalist Christians in this country were about sitting around singing and peacefully protesting 'Jerry Springer the Opera'. A very nasty bunch of bigots with access to MPs (such as Nadine Dorries and Norman Tebbit other) other fundamentalists can only dream of. They preach a message of peace and love punctuated by hatred of muslims and homosexuals.
