But what can we do? Stop buying the garments and the jobs - low paid and horrible as they may be - dry up and even the pittance is gone. Make it clear that consumers are willing to pay a premium for the assurance that they are not screwing over the vulnerable? Yes, that&#039;s a slowly growing trend, but not big enough to make an impact on such a vast market. The producers will just buy an &#039;ethical&#039; subsidiary to mop up the market, as with Green and Black.

Good idea to highlight the issue, but there are no easy answers.</description>
