He's shown he's not above making the odd racial slur himself, and is inredibly unpopular amongst Indians / Pakistanis in the USA.
He made his feelings quite clear, when Hilary Clinton was pictured with sikhs at a fundraiser. He obviously saw brown men with beards and turbans as a vote loser and was quick to score some race card points with Hilary.
He was forced, after much media pressure, to apologise for his slurs. But those slurs stuck in the throats of south Asians and he remains deeply unpopular amongst them.

And the bad news? It won't make much difference if Obama gets elected - he's already making the same foreign policy mistakes as the current administration, trying to garner votes by ignorantly copying Gates in slagging off his allies troop commitment levels in Afghanistan, not realizing that proportionately, its the USA which is not pulling its weight. There is no sign he'll change the direction of policy on Afghanistan but he is showing every sign he is going to continue to mess up the diplomacy and politics surrounding the effective application of it.

About David Duke... I can't help to smile when I think that Bobby Jindal is currently the governor of Louisiana. David Duke lost the Louisiana gubernatorial race in 1991 by a small margin.

If Obama wins - expect Bobby Jindal to be the Republican Obama in the next few years.

President Barak Hussein Obama,
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW

<blockquote>And he needs to address his “Hussein” name: he can’t hide it anymore.</blockquote>

<blockquote>"So there’s good and bad news. As long as Democrat voters across the US keep up their enthusiasm and vote in greater numbers than Republicans, they should be able to take the election."</blockquote>

Obama just needs to remind voters that McCain is running for Bush's 3rd term. That will keep Democrats and Independents in line. And he needs to address his "Hussein" name: he can't hide it anymore.

The Republicans still have plenty of spare capacity in terms of vote numbers, but that could be because their voter base is not particularly enthralled with the candidates on offer. The Democrat race has certainly been more interesting but I also think they are more hooked into the Presidential election itself.
