I would have to say I have very few links with the desi community over here in the US let alone the UK. Just how widespread is domestic violence in the south asian community? Far more than the white community?

very solid piece. particularly good point about the law being irrelevant without a framework in which abused women can bring their cases forward.

sympathy is with SBS, as with any other vol. sector org facing funding cuts and having to struggle. i think you’re doing a good job giving SBS a lot of publicity – perhaps soon you will be called on to do the same for other orgs in other boroughs..
