Jai – Who knows why he married the dog? Karma related issues perhaps, or perhaps the astrologer is on a sabbatical from the the NHS where they practice ‘complimentary medicine’. It is well known that the affection of a pet can help sick people get better, so he could be one step ahead of us and it might work – he could get better. See ‘ancient medical’ knowledge is amazing!!

Prince Charles in now much better and saner since he married his horse.

Apart from the fact that several very-misogynistic jokes following on from that paragraph practically write themselves (which I’m going to stay the hell away from), I think the real person at fault here is the astrologer, for taking advantage of Selvakumar’s ignorance (naivete ?) and giving him such false advice.

If they thought some karma issue was at play here, a more sensible solution would have been for the guy to simply “adopt” the dog as a pet and look after it kindly for the rest of its life. You don’t have to freaking marry it, dammit.

The astrologer is either stupid, corrupt or just incredibly misguided. See what’s happening here — not only is this incident now publicised worldwide, but as a result the gullible “groom” is an object of ridicule everywhere. Whilst the astrologer, of course, remains safe in his anonymity.
