The BJP is an absolute communal organization and its policies are Akin to Hitler. They do not respect the Constitution of India and have their very own Gruesome and Bloody agenda by which they terrorize the Citizens.
-----------------------------------------------------
The world has gone through different eras of genocide and killings witnessed by both, our earlier and present generations and subsequent actions taken by the “Moral Policing”, Heads of states of various countries to ensure a fair, just and civilised society.

Actions taken have included, Sanctions, social boycott and even wars fought to ensure a civilised civilisation in this world.

What we see today, that is happening in Gujarat, is an repeat of the “Hitler” and “Saddam Hussein”era and it seems that the world has become too impotent and frigid to even react to the Genocide that has taken place.

Journalism has again come to the rescue of Democracy and the need to restore a civilised and moral society.

Recent revelations on the audio/visual Media has clearly shown the nexus of the administrative, political, executive and legal machinery in such a way as to manipulate the facts to suit their devious and devilous actions which include nothing less than mass genocide.

These actions cannot be condoned and needs to be addressed by the national, international communities and political systems by means of social and economic boycotts and trials of a criminal nature at the Hague.

There also needs to be total economic boycotts by the Central government of India by stopping all types of aids and infrastructural reforms. All other states of India should officially boycott all types of services and businesses originating from Gujarat and sever all connections at both social and economic levels.

All foreign companies and institutions including diplomatic representations should immediately stop functioning and pull out of Gujarat as a mark of solidarity towards a fair and free democracy and above all a civilised society.

It is apparent that the state of Gujarat has gone back to the “stone age” era and there remains no accountability in terms of moral and civilised terms whatsoever.

Gujarat Is an integral part of India and has its bearings to the Constitution of India and this fact cannot be overlooked by the people of the country and through them the Present Central government, the administrative and the Judiciary, and any overlooking of these facts would by default make us all party to this heinous crime which has been committed and admission of which was openly made on audio and video.

Just speaking about it in critical terms by all is not enough, but making proper and fit amends by taking suitable constitutional remedies on the basis of the powers bestowed by the Indian Constitution to enable safeguarding the interests of all and as mentioned, implied and understood in the Constitution of India and laws laid down thereof need to be taken forthwith and with retrospective effect.

Failure to do so would tantamount to an nexus on the national level and a moral degradation of India at the International level.

The mainstream and even the Asian media are very poor at covering real stories from India. The more coverage there is of the massacres the greater chance there is of justice.
Even in the 'Dirty Wars' in South America justice evntually came.

2000 Muslims died but not a single Hindu. Also the massacre came out of the blue, from nowhere.

Thank Rab for a free and fearless media otherwise we wouldn't be able to find out the real facts like this article articulates.....

So true K Singh.

Nice one Sunny. If we keep badgering them justice may prevail for the 1984 and Gujarat genocides.

I wouldn't hold my breath about the VHP/RSS being overcome. RSS types were complicit in Gandhi Ji's assassination but never really got any flack for that. Don't see the mainstream Hindu community rallying against them any day soon, especially with growing influence even in UK and they extending their shackas here.

October 31st marks the 23rd anniversary of the Anti Sikh massacres organised by the Congress party

http://www.solarider.org/dld/Kristallnacht.pdf

There were also massacres of Muslims in 1992 in Ayodhya
and again in 1993 in Bombay.

I am afraid that due to impunity to the killers this could happen again quite easily.

"But as atheism cannot be blamed for Hitler or Stalin’s pogroms, Hinduism cannot be blamed for this"

True, but without the existence of Hinduism these massacres would not have taken place, many years ago I heard an Archbishop of Canterbury, a wise man I thought, say the same thing about the Nazi holocaust, for if Christianity had not castigated the jews, anti-semitism in Europe would not have existed.

Sadly, one of the reasons why this hasn’t really made much of an impact is that the Gujarat elections are in December this year, and the very people who mention Modi as the man behind the riots (and in turn helped him carry it out)are the very same people who have defected from the BJP a few months ago and are now contesting the elections against him. And, they are equally, as communalistic as Modi, in fact they criticize Modi as being a pseudo-hindutva, which is scary in itself. Thus, it loses some of its credibility, as it seems to be a bunvh of ex-friends bitching about each other.
For a better picture, into what transpired I would recommend Final Solution, a documentary made by Rakesh Sharma.
http://www.ektaonline.org/events/rakeshsharma/
It will destroy you, some of the scenes in that film, are the most hard-hitting shots you will ever see.
Here is a small clip from the film

>>Additionally, this episode only reinforces my point that it’s not religion that is inherently violent, but bigots who use it as a tool for political purposes

i wholeheartedly agree.

hmm, interesting. will read link. if anything, it confirms ..initial "news" spread by certain quarters - which was inevitably dismissed outrightly as basless rumours by the state.

i wonder if the BBC AN discusses this..

This is the only magazine worth reading in India, and they have been doing a fantastic job so far.

These sick self righteous fundos are a menace to civilized society anywhere. Without Vajpayee there is not a change in hell they will ever get anywhere close to power again but that's hadly good news is it, the alternatives are probably the most corrupt and self serving forces in politics today.

After this expose there is little reason to waste any time in getting the modi and gang into jail but then this is India and there is no justice when the connected are incriminated. I won't be surprised if they get away on a technicality.

The last time instead of investigating George Fernanades and his folks caught redhanded with their hands in the till they shamelessly and blatantly went after Tehelka and First Global; a stock brokerage firm and Tehelka's principal investor and nearly put them out of business.

[...] Sunny deplores the coverage (or lack of it) in the mainstream media in the U.K., and calls it ‘horrendously lame’: There’s two points to make here. Firstly, that for progressives in Britain, India’s continual denial of justice to Sikhs and Muslims over politically-motivated riots in 1984 and 2002 should constantly feature in any discussion, to the point that politicians there are shamed into doing something.
