Tatchell is a decent and honourable man with balls of steel.

I’m not surprised by his treatment. Even I gave up politics because of the Bush level your either for us or against us mentality on the left and let’s face it I’m rarely complimented on my subtlety.

To be fair to yourself, I think if Peter Tatchell was the same person back in 1983 as he is now, you probably would not have opposed him.

I think it is in the last ten to fifteen years that he has found his true form. I wasn’t too keen on him before then, but I have complete admiration for the man now.

As a very young enthusiastic NotCouncillor, I campaigned against Peter Tatchell’s election in 1983.

Over the years since then, I have come to understand what a dedicated and fearless campaigner for human rights Peter is and I can’t help feeling that Britain may have lost out in having Peter as an MP.

Peter Tatchell is a great man, yet Ken Livingstone continues to smear him as Islamophobic because Tatchell is opposed to people being stoned to death or hung because they are gay. It really sickens me when I see all these ‘anti-racists’ take the “we are all Hizbollah now” stance.
