Might as well lose in style
Seeing as it’s Friday, here’s something to cheer you up / make you depressed depending on who you support: Yuvraj Singh’s 6 sixes against England this week.
As they say on the interweb… England got pwned!
Yes, I proudly fail the Tebbit test. Heh.

Hehe never had a problem with it really, I can’t stand cricket and the West Indies doesn’t really have a football team to support.
very boring. who invented the damn game anyway
Cricket is shit.
Sunny – has your book maker paid up
Mine has disappeared

i proudly pass the tebbit test. I love the fact that asians are regularly picked for england. i feel that as an asian man born in britain i have more in common with the likes of solanki, bopara, owais and not forgetting monty than with the celeb stars of india. Maybe its time for 2nd generation and upwards asians to support the country that they were born in proudly.
I always support the Scottish cricket team.
Harpal – true – my son, standing in his Rangers outfit, was wondering why I cracked open a new bottle whiskey and I had to explain what cricket was and even who India are !! – he is only 6. I told him to raise his ambition higher than to play football for Scotland. But on reflection you’re right – India are really pretty useless – and he has no interest in cricket and so my dreams are over – but worse to come, he might end up playing for Scotland.

Sunny, you failed the Tebbit Test – bad boy!
Twenty20 is the way ahead. It’s going to sweep First Class and ODIs aside. With a few more tweaks like – if you hit, you have to run – (not really from baseball, because it’s one of the many tweaks that you have in street cricket in India) – Twenty20 is going to catch on like wildfire.
Owais Shah- Born in Pakistan, raised in Isleworth (Hounslow). Not much difference really.
Pakistan to win the cup?
Justforfun:
Heh. But Scotland are good now, so it may be a respectable career for your son.
Had a fight with the lawnmower Sunny?
He should have gone to Specsavers.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Had a fight with the barber in fact. Damn those people are ruthless.
Sunny:
You haven’t quite got the hang of Sikhism yet, have you?
Sikhism has never merely been about outward signs of religiosity.

Anyway, stop trying desperately to detract from India caning England. Watch the video and weep! again!
Sunny:
In the interests of fairness, perhaps you would like to point out that when Yurvaj was bowling against England in a previous series, he himself was hit for five sixes in an over, by another bowler (far worse).
Dimitri Mascarenhas
The England players have better things to do anyway, like visit strip clubs.
I know, I was only joking.
““Sikhism has never merely been about outward signs of religiosity.â€
i suppose you lot know more than me, but it seems like there is a heck of a lot of emphasis on outward signs nonetheless!
like the muslims, who also say its not merely about outward signs of religiosity, then make gigantic fuss about the outward signs of religiosity.
face it, all religions have claimed to be not “just” about outward signs of religiosity, not “just” about ritual, but then that’s what they spend all their time worrying about and making rules around..
I know, I was only joking.
I k now, but I can’t pass up opportunities to plug my own articles

very true, sonia.
I’m pretty cricket-obsessed, fairly typical I suppose. But over the years I’ve realised PP isn’t the place for me to discuss it.
Sunny if it wasn’t for the weird facial growth you’d look exactly like a Buddhist monk.
I’m a cricket tart…I support India, England, Pakistan, S,A, depending on how i’m feeling and who’s playing who…talk about fickle
i never support australia…hated shayne warne and that ricky pontin..
Shane Warne’s one of the finest cricketers of all time.
Weldone Yuvi. He makes it look so easy. This is sweet revenge for being hit for five sixes in an over by Dimitri Mascarenhas. Flintoff said some annoying things to Yuvraj in the previous over and Yuvi gave it back in the best possible way.
I don’t know why we Asians, West Indians and others have to worry about the Tebbit test. That test was created by a racist.
But enough about Sunny’s nose.
I’ve always thought they should have a special Scottish version of the Tebbit cricket test: the test would be to see if you gloat more when England are beaten by India/Pakistan/the West Indies (delete as appropriate), than when they’re beaten by other countries. If you’re a loyal Scot, it shouldn’t matter who’s beaten England, the most important thing is that they have been defeated.
Speaking of sixes, joy aside, did you know – because I didn’t read it anywhere else – that six live, nuclear-tipped cruise missiles went wanderabout in the United States when they should not have done? For me see

Sorry that should be “for more” NOT “for me”, can the weekend watch fix it, thanks
What an over by Yuvraj. India v Pakistan in the final on Monday.
Sunny – you should have organised a PP outing today to watch the big game.
Sit down – open your fresh bottle of Scotland’s finest and strap yourself in.
It starts soon.

And looks like Pakistan is also going to lose now! Woohoo!
wooohooo!!! jesus, what a nail biter!
Poor old Pakistan- they nearly had it. What a game.
Wooooooooooohooooooo! Winning the World Cup is one thing, beating Pakistan just makes it even more incredible!!!!!!
Give us a celebration thead please!
Jagdeep:
Either team would have been deserved winners, but well done to India.
