'sing a jolly tune, look good in tight trousers or kick a ball in the right direction?'

Such a person would be a god among men in the UK now!

VisitBritain has launched a map of the UK detailing the locations of 30 famous Bollywood films.

Surprising... I can count atleast 10 Bolly songs that were shot singularly at Piccadilly Circus. Not much of a variety really.

Anyways a few days ago I was by the South Bank near London Eye, saw a coupla Indian tourists taunting one of those gora bhikaris who'd dressed up as Dumbledore painted in gold. Shit i was soo embarrassed.

"What are you talking about? Hounslow is the Athens of the north. The Treaty Centre, the bus garage, the £1, 99 pence, 98p, 90p and 89p shops, all to be found on one road. A paradise on earth."

Hey there's a Costa Coffee and a TK Maxx. Hounslow's classy these days.

Maybe I've got it wrong but I suspect the LP scribes are not "Johnny Foreigners" but our own self-loathing liberal media types?

"Wilkinson’s (the Hounslow Harrods)"

It's funny because it's true.

I really enjoyed 'Bend it Like Beckham', though a Goodness Gracious Me tour would be even better (home of Bhangraman etc.).

Who gives a s*** about what Johnny foreigner thinks. We invented football and the grand tour, and for the plebs going to the seaside. Plus a few things in between such as railways, the best way to see the world.

Rumbold, you've got me all wrong. I love Hounslow. Royal Sweets, first-name-terms with the Nando's staff, Wilkinson's (the Hounslow Harrods) and of course WheelHouse.

I just don't get why one would want to visit the set of such a shite movie. If they sold Hounslow as the site of the Goodness Gracious Me sketch (about Indian tourists) then I'll be there.
